Somehow I missed all these pics...WOW. The gloss and the matte, and the face sculpt...what an awesome figure. I don't see the point in nitpicking the height when it has so much going for it. A massive 16 would have been cool but this is so much better than not getting the character at all.
At least flat hands as another option wouldn't go astray. I think he needs at least one smiling head, remember he was pretty serene a lot of the time. Maybe he could have the smile of his destroyed head with that broken neck part as an extra, so you can choose to put it on his shoulders or on the ground. And one being crushed under cells foot would be pretty good as well.
On instagram - @waveactionfigures. Just figuarts poses!
I respect people's opinions , and I know it is only the prototype and is still ''in development'', but when there is something patently not correct , I think it pays to make it known and not just accept it...
Figuarts keep making mistakes (wrong scale, wrong colours etc.)- which before was kind of forgivable as we/they didn't know the line would keep going and be as popular as it is, but now as they seem to be trying to cater to the fanbase more they should realise that we do care about these things!! in this unimportant weird and wacky world of collecting these things are actually important...
if people just say ''oh well it doesn't matter'' about things then they will just keep making stupid mistakes...
A16 as is kinda makes me wanna spend some $ and
if they sort the height out and give us the accessories we want then i'll be willing to give $$$ and one of these
VR, your "so many birds" comment made me laugh hysterically for some reason unbeknownst to me
Also, I see the topix of scale discussed sooooooooooooooooooo much on here and have kept my mouth quiet, but I just wanr to point out that there is no set scale. Unless you go by the picture of them all standing by eachother against the wall with lines on it that is frequently posted on here you cant set a certain scale. The heights are never consistent throughout the anime. I see this guy and trunks being harped on so much (btw I think trunks's height is perfect). I just want to point out that depending on scene, the heights always change. If you guys r so worried about the scales maybe someone needs to tell them to use that height chart with all the characters standing there so there is a common baseline
Personally I think the scale is just fine. We aren't going to get perfect figures all the time. These little changes everyone wants costs a company lots of money. So when a product become to costly to make they will either scrap it or charge more on the back end to cover their expenses. I the A16 looks amazing and can't wait to order cases of him.
That's just the problem. You are paying high dollars for an incredibly sculpted and well-posed figure that depicts a character perfectly, yet, they can't get the height correct?
schroederblack7towr Saying there's no set scale because heights are inconsistent is just a blatant excuse. Have you seen the figuarts Sailor Moon figures? Perfect scale. These figures are meant to be posed with one another, yet, they can't be. The fact is that there's more like two set scales (one where Cell, Frieza, Piccolo, Trunks, Android 16 (so far) can be lined up together and look okay in some manner. Even then, they aren't perfect. Then there's a bigger scale of the Gokus, Vegetas, Gohan Krillin, Broly, Vegito, Android 18, Android 17 that once again, isn't perfect either. The scale in the Dragonball figuarts line is all over the place. And Trunks is definitely too small.
I don't know who this guy is lol and sorry for going off-topic

Collection Goal Update: 501 Characters Down, 499 To Go
I don't think 16 is out of scale with 18 and 17; his legs are just too short and thick. The scale seems correct, the legs are just short and stocky. They just need to redo the leg design if he is to have his correct proportions. I mean, it's just silly to have them wrong, especially when they design these on computers. This type of stuff should be caught by a creative director (or somebody) at Bandai, but it's weird that it isn't. It's very easy to put a screenshot from the anime side by side on your computer screen with your 3D model and compare proportions to make sure they are correct. Excuses about things like this just don't make sense to me, because these aren't entirely hand sculpted, and the figures do not carry a standard price. It's like an excuse that "oh, I'm sorry, but your prosthetic leg was made 5 inches too short, I guess you'll just have to get used to hobbling in circles". It would be excusable if every single figuarts figure had a MSRP of $35 and had to be made on a specific budget, but that isn't the case. Make the legs proper and charge $5 more if that's what you have to do Tamashii.
I spent more time on this correction in Photoshop, using some pictures for reference so I'd get closer to 16's actual proportions and design. I think I did pretty well considering I still did it as quickly as I possibly could. I see no reason to clean up background stuff when I do these, because I don't want to fool people into thinking it wasn't Photoshopped.

Is anyone other than me worried that android 16 might get the Nappa treatment? It's been about 2 months that we first saw him on tamashii's website but until today, no news about a release. It's good and all if they're working on his height a little bit but shouldn't we have gotten a release date by now??
