He's $49.99. I thought that mean that we'd be getting more accessories or a new head, but nope. Why is he so expensive?
Tamashii Nations is bringing you the one and only Vegeta as he appears in the Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ film. Like Goku, Vegeta was able to obtain the power of gods and some cool blue locks. The overall design is faithful to Vegeta’s slimmer look from recent animations. Pose Vegeta with the other Resurrection ‘F’ crew, Goku and Freiza (*sold separately) for the ultimate action poses! Set includes interchangeable hands (x6) and interchangeable facial expressions (x3).

Toyz has him for 45.99 free shipping and I'm sure the other usual spots will have him for cheaper too. Still, it's a tad high but Tamashii's figures have been like that lately. Also, even though he doesn't come with exactly what we wanted, his body sculpt is mainly a new mold so that could merit the price increase.

I'm just saying that it's the retail price, which surprised me since it's more expensive than Awakened Goku. I only bought SDCC Piccolo at BBTS because I had to, but I will never buy from those scalpers again. I only collect DB figuarts, but did you see the prices for the Star Wars figuarts? There's like a $50 difference if you buy at HLJ, amiami, or CDJapan. Even the "American" (made in China) figures are far more expensive than other retailers. I understand people outside the US, but we Americans have so many better options. From Toyzinthebox, I got Ultimate Gohan for $32.99 shipped whereas with BBTS it would be around $47 and there's people that ordered from BBTS who still haven't received their figure.

I was checking out Toyz right now because it does sound more appealing (free shipping too), but I saw they charge tax for the figures (BBTS hasn't done that to me) so the prices were still better but only by about ~$2. My question is, do they charge upfront for preorders and is it easy to cancel preorders on Toyz like it is on BBTS?

Oh well. The figures are coming with less and less accesories but hey at least we are getting a different character every month. I beg to differ.... I think we should all be happy that we are even getting these figures in the first place, so many amazing figures have been announced, and we should be grateful. A basehead isn't necessary, its a SSGSS figure, its marketed that way. Giving the basehead is like Tamashii saying ''ok we're giving you a pair of nice shoes to go alongside your suit............. And a gold watch ; ) ). Same thing could be said with the SSJ goku figure, or SSJ vegeta figure. It was amazing that they actually did decide to give SSGSS Goku figure the basehead.

Yeah he is pretty expensive considering he doesn't come with a lot. Tamashii knows people will pay for it though so they're confident pushing their luck with a high price. They've been real scumbags with this figure so far...

I never cancelled from them before. If you want to wait, you'll be good with eknightmedia. I don't think they got the figure yet, but they'll probably have it for $47.99 (free shipping) all the way up to April of next year. So I would recommend them! With figuarts, you really don't have to worry about pre-ordering them early. Just as long as you get it a week before they're released or even the day before.

I think we're all grateful here, but this is just discussion talk. I don't think anyone is really upset, but we are paying a lot for these so I think its understandable for us to express our concerns when we're paying around $40-50 for an action figure! It can be a make or break deal for some people though. I wish this SSGSS Vegeta was more accurate, but I still love the figure so I pre-ordered it as soon as it went up. I'm disappointed in the price because I was going to buy two of them, but the extra $10 is too much for me now.

You have to remember, and ALWAYS remember and NEVER forget nor say 'I know that, I know that'' ; but please, remember that these figures are one of the worlds most highest quality small inches figures out there. Its kind of like hot toys but smaller, alot of hand/face accessories alongside amazing detail, sometimes blast effects/stands etc. Oh and did I forget to mention, the highest level of figure articulation too? Its alot in one box, its not Hasbro or any other toy products, its very different. The price has gotten higher these days, but lets not forget; so has the demand.

With that mentality, should we the consumers simply take anything they give us regardless of quality or accuracy? The problems that some of us have been addressing are because we can and should expect better. By simply settling, then they will continue to be cheap and overall quality of the line will eventually diminish. It's called feedback and while on the forum our cries fall on deaf ears, we are simply having a discussion and there's nothing wrong with that. On Tamashii and Bluefin's social networks, people are expressing their concerns as well so the company can be aware of it, improve, and give us BETTER figures. Yes, these figures are amazing in their own right but there is nothing wrong with letting the makers know our comments and concerns. If we all just shut up and took the figures for how they were, there would be no need to keep improving. It's only when the customers provide feedback on a product that the product gets better.
