Man, I don't know how you can keep the figures in the box; I just got an extra Frieza and Broly, and I could not resist letting them free... lol

I just don't share the desire to open them bro lol Man... no offense to you but people like you just annoy me! Box collectors or whatever the proper way theyre called. Like I know theres collectors who want their item mint precise condition, but its like a waste to be honest. As theres other people who want the figure to open and enjoy it but you just have sitting there or in the closet and such. Its like if you want it to be always in a box then there should be a separate line (I know its never going to happen. lol) where the figure is like a substitute, like a statue or something, giving the look like is a articulated figure, as other collectors who actually get it for the figure open it and enjoy it. I forget where I heard it, but box collectors are just like scalpers in a way, as you purchase the figure, keep it mint in box as thats how they collect, but then when the figure value goes for this much or that they instinctively sell it! If its a statue mint in box its like not a waste as a statue just sits there, so the box its like a case to protect it, but a figure that designed to be posed, moved around, with interchangeable parts and accessories, and its still sealed in its box, I'm sorry but that's a waste in my opinion.

Woah, you really didn't pull any punches there dude. I don't want to see anyone getting offended, so I hope we can all agree to disagree. I wouldn't compare MISB collectors to scalpers though. That's just harsh. Imho, it's very similar to people who collect classic cars to put in a showroom and never drive them. Hell, for years I used to collect vinyls, but I didn't even have a record player and never took them out of their sleeves. Some people just having different collecting habits, it doesn't mean they are wrong.

I only started collecting Figuarts last year (before that I only really bought statues/solid figures) but they make me feel like a little kid again. Just looking at one up on the shelf makes me start wondering how I could re-pose it to make the whole display look better. I can totally get the boxed thing as I'm a bit that way with games - I open them to play them but I always go crazy about keeping the cases/boxes in good condition. Figuarts though, those boxes just go in the bin as soon as I can pull all the bits out of them.

Just my opinion about box collectors or whatever theyre called, but to collect for their own way I guess. It doesn't theyre wrong, true, but it just sucks knowing that someone out there has the very figure you want, but they just have it just sitting there in its box. Worse for me is people who purchase resin kits, they buy a rare to very rare kit and they don't build it! They just have it sitting in a corner collecting dust or stored away, because they don't know how to build it! Then why buy it?! Ugh... I don't know, its just a waste having a articulated figure that is designed to be posed and with interchangeable parts and accessories still sealed in its box. But to different collecting habits I guess...
Anyways! PC SS3 Goku is like a must!!!!!

Yuh well im sure this comment is going to piss a lot of yall off but Idc. Im 25 and don't feel the need to play with toys. Hints why all my figures are sealed. Im not going to get into a whole discussion about this with you but thats the type of collector I am. If we're being blunt here, I don't come on here and bitch about how ppl like you make it hard for a collector like me to find the figure I need for my collection sealed, but cant because the only ones I come across on Ebay or here are all opened. No offense.... That's because articulated are like meant to be posed! lol! Like have you noticed how Tamashii poses their figures on display at events? None are sealed in boxes! Pfft! I'm 28 and I play with toys, not like a kid bashing figures or throwing them, but as a adult collector of posing them and such. Theres A LOT of collectors on YouTube who "play with toys" and theyre WAY older! And I'm not bitching, I never was! I just said people like you annoy me. It annoys me but its cool, because its simple, once you decided to sell a figure that is at a value for you to sell i'll at least get a brand new figure! Box collectors serves a purpose I guess... Don't take it the wrong way, you collect your way and I mine. Its cool. Its just me that find it annoying. And pretty sure others too.

For the record, whilst I do like to display my figures, I also keep every single box in pristine condition, with every piece of packaging intact. The inlay, the cable ties, even the little plastic bags and protective layers that cover the joints to stop scratching etc.
I'm very pleased I've done this, as I have very limited space, so every time I run out, I rotate my collection and box a load of figures up like new and display them in their window boxes. So technically I am also a box collector, I just don't keep figures MISB.
Does anyone else display and keep their boxes?

I'm with you, I put my figures on display because what's the point in collecting the most articulated and well designed figures if you can't pose them BUT I do keep every box in immaculate condition stored away and a shelving unit built specifically for them. i even keep the little bits that are around their arms and necks etc to stop paint transfer even though there's NO WAY I'd get them back in place lol

well you're not being considerate of how other people want to use their toys. They bought it, and they can do as they please with their own action figures. You're entitled to want someone else's action figures to be on the market for your pleasure, but other people want to use the figures they buy in different ways. He likes them in the box, it's not your business. Be considerate of other people in the forum and shut up about how other people enjoy their figures.

No offense.... I used to be the same way. I had all of the large Evangelion blister pack figures, and they all stayed in their boxes on display. My reasoning wasn't that I didn't want to "play" with them or anything, but more of an irrational fear of losing accessories. I keep all my boxes in pristine condition for the sole reason that it organizes all of my accessories for my figures without having to worry about losing anything. I had the gigantic Eva 01 Extra package, which was pretty much the Eva 01 with almost every single accessory released for all of the figures in the line at that point. That's because articulated are like meant to be posed! lol! Like have you noticed how Tamashii poses their figures on display at events? None are sealed in boxes! Pfft! Yeah man. Action Figure collecting has a societal stigma attached to it that makes us all understand feeling judged or unappreciated. We should be aiming to make an atmosphere in forums that are respectful to everyone's beliefs and viewpoints.

Listen to your own words that you preach. lol!
But whatevers, ANYWAYS moving forward! For the SDCC exclusive, if there is going to be any, any thoughts what it can actually be? Given that SDCCs are mostly just repaint versions. Anyone got leads even though we are a few months away? From what I heard from others at a con it might be Krillin, like without the blue undershirt and white in his eyes. And that it might be SSGSS Goku but with actual gloss-shiny hair. And some are hoping that's its the Trunks that we should of gotten instead of the PC, a actual manga Trunks, with lighter jacket, hair, different colors on the sword and so on. I know PC Trunks is still freshly out, but we have multiple versions of Goku, a third Trunks version would not be surprising.
