Hi, folks — long time lurker, first time poster.
i recently got into the SH Figuarts DBZ figures with an emphasis on the Saiyan Saga. I didn’t want to pay an exorbitant price for Krillin, so, after seeing an image that indicated he was of acceptable scale next to Figuarts Goku, I picked up Figure Rise Krillin instead.
As I was assembling him this evening, I was surprised and pleased to find that he comes with unadvertised parts to have bare shoulders and a bare chest under his gi if one desires, and since that’s how he looked in the Saiyan saga, I used those parts. However he doesn’t seem to have optional slippers instead of his boots. So it turns out I can either have a full-on Android Saga Krillin or a Saiyan Saga Krillin wearing boots, which just doesn’t look right.
which brings us to the question: Does anyone know of a way to give Figure Rise Krillin slippers instead of boots? I’ve triple-checked to make sure I didn’t miss any parts and I’ve fiddled with the boots to see if they can be converted, but it doesn’t seem that they can. However, I thought I’d ask here just in case someone smarter than me figured something out.
