Ive thought about buying him in the past. He's on my list for dragonball figures but i habnt really had a chance to get to those yet. My favorite group of characters has always been the "extras". They make such a large and diverse group. There just really needs to be a big brown and white oxking taking up the scenery behind them. I think its my ultimate non existant figure goal. I used to really want a launch, but now dragonball styling handled all that. Maybe dbz ox will get that random production luck someday too.
They used to make books that were just compilations of those mego theatres. I remember seeing them in comic shops around the turn of the millenium. I may have to track those down. I bet if a person made a dbz book like that people would buy it.

Well, for what its worth im very glad you did all the hard work on these and shared them with all of us. Its inspiring to see that someone cares so much. Ive looked at these pictures for years now. It gives a person hope to see that even once they check every last figure off ther list, theres still a new frontier. Likewise most dbz fans gave up years ago on seeing their favorites come to life. Part of me is truly depressed because i know ill never hold the dragonball ox king figure in my hand that ive been imagining my whole life. But when you see people like you who have done so much.... it makes you realize that anything is possible. With such skill, such meticulous precision and care at your disposal you're almost obligated by fate and circumstance to continue customizing less you disrespect the gift youve been given. By the bye your funny captions are the best part. They remind me of those hilarious skits they did with mego figures in the toyfair magazines when i was a kid. I imagine your work is important to far more people than you'd ever realize bran. And always try to remember that every obstacle worth overcoming is challenging. No one calls their favorite game the one they beat in 3 days. No one records the name of men who climb any mountain other than the absolute largest. The fact that you pour countless hours into your customs make them badges of honor and you probably wouldnt respect and treasure them if the process wasn't absurdly laborious.

Yep. Those are the ones. Im trying to get all the gold hair sbc and those AB moldings would just slip into the collection so well. I want to rip those ss3 figures open SO BAD!!! I have a bad habit of that. I openend my gp cell, general rildo, and orange shirt roshi without a second thought. Thats one of my favorite things about dbz figures. They honestly seem to be just as desirable loose as carded.

EDIT: SORRY FOR WRITING AN ENTIRE BOOK lol like the goku because i feel he has the natural bulk to fit in with the other jakks figures. And i like that he has the symbol on his gi. I know thats not a big deal to you guys because you litterally make your own, but to the type of person i am he seems superior just because he came with that extra little feature lol. Interestingly ive seen the android saga irwin goku come both with and without the symbol on his chest. I like the irwin stuff better, "in a sense", because i played with them as a kid, but the jakks figures are just so much nicer when they're in my hand. Im not huge into scale as it relates to the anime, nor am i too concerned with particular aesthetics. I just like my figures to look nice and to just go well together. For instance, I imagine every male masters of the universe figure was roughly the same height. Even though that sacrifices the scale between the characters it makes them all go nicely together. That probably best explains why some of my figure choices may not be the most orthodox. I like figures like janemba and yakkon so much, not because they are favorite characters or well made toys, they just remind me of monsters i played with as a kid like the rancor and the astral moat monster from thundercats. I honestly like the glossy stiff armed AB figures more than any others just because they remind me of 80s toys. Lol i have the ab kabitokai with no intention of acquiring the jakks one that most people seem to favor. Im just kinda odd like that i guess Ive seen that custom photo lots of times. Thats an awesome goku. Whose arms are those? I thought they were gogeta but then they wouldnt have the sleeves... I appreciate the offer to pick up the 2 pack. Thats very kind of you. Ill have to pass though. Right now my BUY ON SIGHT list is pretty small. Epoch oolong is probably the only non jakks figure on it. Only because gold hair sbc vol 7 vegeta is finally on its way. That thing took me forever to find for under 20$ the toughest pieces for me right now are removable shirt jakks goku for under 50$ jakks vegeta with scouter for under 75 and omega shenron for around 100. Ive seen the cloth shirt goku on amazon and ebay but its always carded for 80+. Beyond that gp krillin and namekian gohan are giving me a bit of a hassle. I dont want the chinese quality rejects that being sold on american ebay and all the itallian ones are still a bit pricey after shipping. Ive seen a huge quality difference. 2 different heads completely on the namekian gohan. My holy grail right now is the gp gold figures. I really want that ss3 goku and ss3 gotenks. I need them carded so i can open them but prove theyre not repaints lol. There's a ss3 goku on ebay but he is missing his bang . Thank you so much bran for linking me to that santal lot. Ive already messaged the seller about shipping. I will own those soon thanks to your lead thats why i really wanted to join this sight. I kept all my adventures and excitement to myself all year so i could have something worth showing when i did speak up, but now its getting to the point where i need the help of a community of like minded fellows to bag the truly rare game.

That is so awesome. Ive never heard anyone mention irwin having custody of the sbc gt molds. Do you know anything about the origin of this piece? If that is truly authentic then it's a marvel and you should treasure it. If it was an ebay find i hope you contacted the seller to see if he was involved with irwin and could lead you to anymore such things. I am truly jealous.

@ GP I found it on ebay.it about 6 months ago. there's a seller that commonly sells mixed lots of Deagostini, ultimate spark, hachette, chess pieces, stuff like that. i won two lots for around 13 bucks each and got about 20 dollars combined shipping. that's how i got old kai too. the seller said did not ship international, but i usually dont let that stop me from bidding and letting the seller decide whether or not he wants to quote me a shipping price. thats how i had to get most of my european stuff like gp cell and android 13. so i've noticed the wcf baba looks strikingly similar. does anyone know if its exactly the same beyond color?
@max. yeah i was so stoked when i found the trunks. i immediately scrapped my sbc trunks for its shoes and decals lol. i got super lucky on him the picture of him wasnt even on the first picture of the listing. i think i picked up about 10 figures him included for 45$

I actually about settled on a painted keshi gregory. It was a pretty good representation. (still on ebay if anyones interested) I actually have that goku on my list its just with 350 figures on my starting list i made the decision to buy mostly figures that wernt always available for sale and then hunt for bargains/lots to pick up all the ones that were commonly available. Android saga goku with the kanji on his gi was included in that portion of the list. I actually like the one that came with burter in the jakks 2 pack, he's the other one marked with the wisdom symbol on his chest. Ill take that picture for you when i get home this evening. I look at your topic often. Your sabertooth and kid gohans are some of my favorite pieces. I really want that battle crazed kid gohan in namekian gi you have. Theres one on ebay from australia but they want like 40 bucks in shipping. Im like, um, no. Those pics.

Thanks a lot for noticing bran. Ive tried really hard this year. That was the only red rooster krillin ive ever seen for sale. Cell model kit was was a huge find for me too. I wanted it so bad as a kid but could never find him gero, or 16. Ive still never seen a kid gohan model kit in person even though i see them pop up on ebay. Hachette baba was a pretty tough find too. And some of the gp figures like ss trunks and buu. I have a list of about 150 more figures to tackle for my 5 inch scale. If your familiar with other rare pieces like the red rooster krillin that would fit well perhaps we could exchange notes. I wanna start working in more key chains. Im gonna get the uub keychain next. My puar is that itty bitty mascot keychain. I think im gonna get their baby goku one as well since its cheaper and more available than the deformation. Ive got my eyes on some korean sbc stuff right now. Im trying to come to terms on a price for a volume 1 and volume 2 goku as a lot. Ill take whatever pictures you would like. just send me the lineup request.
Honorable mention goes to master scholar gohan and plex gregory for being the figures i never thought id find loose and single

Yep. Bootleg ss future trunks is one of my favorite figures ever. I got him in a lot with a bootleg goku, future trunks, and freeza . Then i bought that set of 5 bootlegs that was goin around ebay carded on blister packs, the goten, gohan, trunks, gotenks, and the tiny ss3 goku. I bought the bootleg ss gohan because i thought it was funny. I would love to own a gold haired variant though. Ive seen them pop up. Then one day I found a very strange lot with no accesories that i just had to buy for like the 9 dollars or whatever it was. A bootleg sbc piccolo, a bootleg sbc cell, and a bootleg super guerriers janemba. I had never seen a bootlegged super guerrier before.

So, l collected dbz figures as a kid. The early stuff, i traded them off for mtg cards when i was a teenager. As an adult i bought a lot of them back and joined one of these forums. The only one i kept was the great monkey baby. Because he was like unto a trophy of unachievable childhood dreams. For the next few years i would screenshot rare figures that i had always wanted and add them to want lists of loot on my phone. Last year for christmas my girlfriend surprised me with a kami off that list.... so it kinda started this whole whirlwind of nostalgic treasure hunting, competitive ebay shopping, defaulting on lots of personal obligations and a ramen noodle diet intended to maximize my expendable income, but i managed to come up with this. Its not much compared to what a lot of you have, i dont have festival toys, lottery prizes, resins, and figurarts stuff i was really just interested in the toys i never had but always wanted, and recapturing some old favorites. Im hoplessly addicted now and im not even halfway through my list .But i really tackled the rares hard and its only been 1 yr to date. Take a close look and im pretty sure almost everyone will see a random figure or two they dont have or atleast respect the rarity of. Im very bad at posting pictures here so if anyone could pm me a link with instructions i would appreciate it. My DBZ photobucket
