Dude!! Holy crap!  But make sure you make him taller than Goku! I'd recommend cutting the boots off and adding some height there!! If you own a drill, a 1/8" drill bit, and some plastic model kit trees (the things you normally throw away) you should be able to add swivel articulation right there too. Just cut some pegs off the trees and use them in the holes you drill.  If you can enlarge the shoulder 'balls' without affecting articulation then that would be awesome too!  GAHHHH I'm so excited about this one! This is the first Figuarts custom I've seen that has really made me crazy |

Yes, I also recommend more height. I see he's already taller, but the fact their waists line up shouldn't be so. And def add some shoulder bulk and you're good to go.

Sweet. Thanks for the info. I'm thinking about using Piccolo's (SH Figuarts) thighs because I noticed that they are longer than Goku's. Plus, it won't make him as tall as Piccolo but def taller than Goku. I'll see how that looks and post more.
Also, Branjita, I like the idea of using the plastic model trees. I have a bunch of old Gundam ones that kept.

Perfect. Good idea for the thighs. While you're bulking the shoulders, you should probably bulk the entire arm as well if you want him dead accurate. You should be able to without hurting the articulation much.

I think they're far too wide for the rest of his torso and legs. To be honest, they always looked a little too wide for Piccolo. They definitively look out of place on your custom, now. Tien was never that bootylicious.
The rest of it looks great, though. Fantastic sculpting on the ears/arms/legs! And by god. If you sculpted that torso, it looks INCREDIBLE. Seriously. Spot-on! Great skin tone, too. Can't wait to see how this looks when it's finished.

I think the thighs look okay as long as his legs can still move. Can he do his taiyoken/solar flare pose? The sculpting work you've done looks fantastic, so I don't think sculpting a wider belt would be difficult for you. I'm not sure how long you've been a fan of DBZ, but you may not know this, but Tien practically makes Goku look scrawny, so I think it would be so incredible if you could widen his torso and shoulders even further. Right now he looks about the size of Goku with his shirt off, which is only appropriate for a DB Tien... which would still be great! But Tien is generally much bulkier than Piccolo too.
The green you chose is a bit dark, similar to how dark Jakks painted the trilogy Tien. I definitely think it looks better if you choose a Christmas green color.
Btw that saiyan space pod you're working on looks epic!

I was going to say the thighs look fine, it's actually the torso and arms that were too small. Add some more sculpt on the sides and deltoids with the arm bulk and you won't have any other problems. Also, a closer pic would help.
