I was on nippon yassan and saw they had two gokus listed at two different prices. One was a re-issue and the other i take it the orignal. Is there a big difference between the two? I own the re issue, but i want the orginal-1st edition as you will as well. www.nippon-yasan.com/dragon-ball/3358-dragon-ball-sh-figuarts-ssj-son-goku.htmlhere is the link to the goku If someone can tell me if there are any differences between the two figures, the re-release and the original.

From what i know, there's only two different ss goku figures. One was the sdcc version and the other was a re issue. The only difference are the color scheme.

I have both the original and the reissue. The original doesn't have some of the defects the reissue does.

I recently got my hands on the second reissue and it's slightly different from the original release and the first reissue. For starters the second reissue has the Tamashii Nations logo in the lower right hand corner of the box (biggest give away as it's the first manga SS Goku that has that logo on the front). As for the figure itself...the head is much tighter than any other SS Goku I've owned, every SS Goku prior to the second reissue has a hair part that easily falls off the neck peg (this also includes the SDCC Goku to some extent). It seems they decided to use a different kind of plastic for the skin parts which may not have been a good move as both arms were molded poorly at the shoulder/bicep joint. Numerous people have complained about buying an SS Goku that had arms that could fall off just by tapping them and my version definitely had that issue. The final difference I noticed...well, two differences actually as the pants seem poorly molded compared to the other releases...it seems a little more effort was made to add shading to the clothes. It sounds good in writing but mine seemed a bit amateurish. The darker color looked great but the application wasn't smooth at all.

I'll have pics of the Goku figures soon...as for Piccolo...I also grabbed one of the reissued Piccolos and the only differences I noticed were tighter joints and a slightly darker paint for the yellow arm...things...I'm not sure what they're called.

what timone said is correct about Piccolo - the reissue had darker yellow paint on the arm panels also the issue with the slightly different purples on his gi were less apparent...
The Goku's all have slightly different coloured gi's aswell the first was palest ( or did mine just fade!?!) the second was slightly brighter and the newest is noticeably brighter in comparison

can't get pics of the Piccolo figures but here are the Goku figures. I do not recommend the second reissue...the loose arm problem is simply unacceptable IMO. plus the differences in the gis are very subtle...it also seems to be a bit more glossy.

Yeah. I think i'm going to buy the first release just for the sake of having both.
It costs more then the re issue though.
