No one but my family believes me. I have gotten bit from them and not got a hole of rotted flesh. Instead, I get a bite mark similar to a mosquito, that never heals. I would guess the bites are from the male that is smaller and carries less poison than the female. They still cause side effects like a very rappid heart beat. When you've pulled out sticky traps with over 100 recluse on it, it's hard to think of not being bit.
I've smashed them after being bit, that's why I'm 100% sure I've been bit.
