Your arguement, meanwhile, was that Figurerise are similar scale to Figuarts. That is just flat out wrong, as has been proven multiple times with comparison pictures of the Figurerise figures towering over the Figuarts. You can think what you want, but Figurerise IS in a larger scale. The pod on a stand is taller than Figurerise Goku, you can see how much taller Figurerise Goku is compared to Figuarts Goku. Taking that stand away isn't going to magically make the pod that much smaller. But, if you'd like we can just go by the official measurements. Bandai lists the diameter of the pod as almost 6 and a half inches tall. That still makes it significantly larger than Vegeta. That makes it even a little taller than Figuarts Piccolo, even. So, it's still way too big. It, actually, has the same listed height as Figuarts Android 16. Figurerise and Figuarts are NOT the same scale. The Figurerise pod is scaled to Figurerise. It's out of scale, plain and simple. You can like it, and get it. I'm not telling you not to. I'm just pointing out that the Dragon Summon pod is going to fit a lot better with Figuarts, because it was made specifically to. Personally, I don't think a pod as tall as that would really look all that great next to Figuarts Vegeta. :-/ You've convinced me to purchase the Dragon Summon space pod, though I'd kept my eye for a while on the Figure-Rise version, not even knowing about this other, unofficial one. I'm hoping the Trunks Time Machine and Frieza Hoverchair will be closer to Figuarts scale than this space pod.

Lol! That pod is huge, I would hardly call that a better example. The Ichiban Kuji pod is not one of my top choices, either. Vegeta looks tiny in it. I remember seeing quite a few posts in this exact thread pointing out that it and the baby Goku were way too big, also. Believe what you want, and tell yourself whatever you need to to make yourself feel better about your purchase. It's your display, and if you're fine with inconsistencies in scale that's alright. But, we've seen the displays and the figures and we've got the measurments straight from Bandai as well as them flat out saying they are differently scaled. If saving a few bucks is that important, get what you need to. You seem to be the only one here that really thinks the Figurerise pod is "better." So, get it and be happy. We'll all get the Dragon Summon pod , and be happy.

Like I said, if you like it just get it. More power to you, I'm not gonna tell you you can't get it, or anything. It can probably be fudged in to fit with the different scale, if a person really wanted.
I'm just pointing out another alternative that seems to be a very popular choice with other people online.

When did I ever say I like either of them or that I was getting either of them? Are you continuing to act petty towards me on purpose did I really trigger you that much buy pointing out that the mechanics has advantages over the Dragon Summons and that both could fit scale wise? My first post I never even stated I was interested in buying either so I don't understand where you keep drawing your conclusions from and why you keep replying to me with that or why you keep saying I think one is "better". Stop reflecting your own thoughts onto me its annoying to hear if you think ones better than fine say so but I never declared one as the best or that I really want to buy one over the other these are all your own delusional thoughts. Man, you need to chill. If anyone here has been "triggered" it has been you. It's like you're just bitching to bitch. The Figurerise figures are slightly larger than their Figuart counterparts. And thus, the pod is slightly out of scale. End of story. Can it be overlooked? Sure. But it doesn't change the fact that it is slightly out of scale with the Figuarts. That's all *drops mic*

Careful, he's gonna go off on you, too. Lol. It's not really worth it to go on. He's not going to admit to a scale difference, even if Bandai themselves told him it was a different scale. I'm done with it. Anyways, for the rest of the forum, I hope the review video and all the comparison photos and stuff I posted was helpful on choosing a pod. I'm just glad there are finally choices besides paying $150-200 for the Irwin or other hard to find pods. And, I'm really looking forward to all the new vehicles coming out.

Until I receive my Dragon Summons Saiyan Pod, I figured I could post some updated pictures of my collection, featuring the latest arrivals. The display with all those empty boxes to give some height to the characters in the back is temporary until I find some time to tinker a few styrofoam displays in a style reminiscent of the anime (or at least that'll be the intent ) Hope you like them, folks.

Has anyone compared some of the old figures from the Ultimate Figure series line with the SH Figuarts ones? I don't imagine it would be that helpful but i don't think i've seen anyone do it with any characters besides Frieza really.

Has anyone compared some of the old figures from the Ultimate Figure series line with the SH Figuarts ones? I don't imagine it would be that helpful but i don't think i've seen anyone do it with any characters besides Frieza really. Welcome to DBF! I've owned most of those figures before and still own the Piccolo. I customized my UFS Piccolo pretty heavily though. I shortened his arms and redid his hips to bring his legs in closer and then fully repainted him. You can see him next to a customized Jakks Piccolo and an uncustomized Jakks Piccolo here:
You can probably find a comparison of Figuarts Piccolo to Jakks Piccolo in this topic (maybe). Regardless, all of the UFS are quite a bit smaller than all of the Figuarts figures. The Frieza might be similar in size to the Figuarts one since the Figuarts one was made really short with a big head. The UFS Frieza has a really ugly nose. I pretty much only like the Piccolo from that series, and only after the modifications I did. He'd be around an inch shorter than the Figuarts Piccolo most likely.

I have another question about a series of figures i was wondering how tall the Super Battle Collection series or specifically Gohan from the series is compared to the SH Figuarts ones. I know the series is very old if not the oldest when it comes to DBZ figures but i know it includes some of the younger characters which rarely get releases.

The Figures Rise Pod and the Dragon Summon Pod. None of the Saiyan Pods released till date are 100% accurate.

Wow, it's odd how different it looks separately posed with figures than with another pod. I guess they are similar size. Although, I'm still shocked by how much more cramped the Figurerise interior is compared to the DS pod's interior. I like the DS interior details more, too. Someone should make a custom with the model kit, of this.
