Exactly. These pods are almost the same size. As for scale both of these are not of perfect scale to figuarts. As for the interior, I think a pod should have more of the white foam soft cushion like padded thing rather than almost nothing at all but oh well it's like I said before, none of the pods released till date are 100% accurate.
In the end it's just a matter of preference and what makes you most happy.

The Dragon Summons is the closest to accurate that we have. The Figurise looks nothing like the actual thing so imo is the worst option for the Figuarts. Too stylized and oversized

I kinda like the fact that the Figurise one has a bit of extra stuff going on inside, design wise. It makes it a bit less boring. The extra-roominess of the Dragon Summons one is useful though... honestly I'd probably be about equally happy with either, so I'll just stick with the one I've already bought.

It is worth noting that the DS pod does have the padding detail inside of it. It's actually a pretty good thickness, too. The padding just tapers around the door of the pod, the same way it does in the manga and anima pods. It looks like it has about 1/4 an inch of padding. I like the colour of it, too. Is it possible to assemble the Figurerise pod without the majority of the interior? It's just so thick, it looks like it's at least 1/2 inch thick or more, and it looks more like paneling than padding. If you could take that out, and just customize the inside to be more spacious and to have padding it would look so much better. Could you imagine lining the interior with actual quilted padding, in a more accurate off-white or tan colour? The amount of space you would free up, and look would be greatly improved...

I think all the internal padding pieces were separate from the outer shell pieces, but they have to be connected for the ship to stay together. You might be able to make the ship without the padding if you used glue...maybe. It would definitely have to be modified for it to work properly and look right.

I have another question about a series of figures i was wondering how tall the Super Battle Collection series or specifically Gohan from the series is compared to the SH Figuarts ones. I know the series is very old if not the oldest when it comes to DBZ figures but i know it includes some of the younger characters which rarely get releases. If you mean the Android saga kid Gohan, he'd be too small for a Figuarts collection because he's perfectly 5 inch scale, if not actually a tiny bit too short. If you mean the SS Gohan with Piccolo Cape, he might be reasonably to scale, as he would be about the size of the Jakks one and the Figuarts one. His sculpt is much worse than the Figuarts one and other than the Jakks one having a dumb expression and weird hair, it is better than the SBC.
As far as scale is concerned, you might be happy with whatever series this one is called... I forgot...
Or you could get the much less detained sofubi vinyl one and repaint his boots properly.

The first option is Banpresto's The Figure Collection Gohan. I have it with my Figuarts: I think it looks good - you make the call.

How does that figure look next to Figuarts Gohan?

Here they are together, with a Sofubi Namek Gohan thrown in: I don't know if the Sofubi Android Saga Gohan is taller than his Namek counterpart, or how big the new Figuarts will be.

I saw that The Figure Collection Android saga Gohan in person yesterday and it's bigger than I thought it was--especially the face. The Sofubi one has a horrible sculpt, but it's probably a better size and the arms move. The SBC one would be significantly smaller if it was in that group photo above. I don't own any of the figures above, so the best I have is this comparison with my customized one:

I prefer the dragon summons pod 'cause it's got the lights lol
The custom padded interior sounds like a good idea, it would look really nice.

First, love this thread. It's an amazing resource, and I've been flipping through it bunch over the last few days. Many thanks to everyone who has contributed.
Second, I wanted to ask: Does anyone know of a good Mr. Popo statue/figure that would be roughly in scale with the Figuarts line? He's one I want to include on my shelf because of DBZA, but also not a character that I feel needs to be overly articulated.
While we're at it, I might as well ask if there's a good in-scale Kami or Buu saga Dende to go with him. I've seen (and at one point owned) the Kid Dende I've seen in the thread, but I'm much more partial to the teenage looking Dende.

Here's a quick pic I took a while ago but you can see his scale, along with a couple other non figuarts that work well. As for Popo and Kami, I have no clue lol. Hope this helps.

I appreciate the attempt, but it doesn't really help me at all. As I said above, I actually owned that exact Dende at one point (though I've long since gotten rid of it), and have seen pictures of it in scale with the Figuarts line. And while I like it well enough, I would far prefer a Teenage looking Dende based on his appearance in the Buu saga (even though I know Toei is animating him with his childlike appearance again despite being set several years after the Buu saga)

DeAgostini made Mr. Popo and adult DBGT Dende, but they are technically 5 inch scale, so would be a bit small. Editions Atlas made an adult Dende in Kami's outfit, but it's even smaller than the DeAgostini one. AB made a Kami, but it is once again 5 inch scale, and also over $100. Can't help other than providing that info.
There's a Banpresto Mr. Popo or two, but one is enormous and the other is still probably 8 inch scale if not 10 or 12 inch scale. There's an unlicensed Kami figure/statue/resin, but I believe it is probably more like 10 inches tall too.
