Hey guys, I just got this picture sent to me from someone in Japan selling this vegeta, he has sold me other figures before and they were all Authentic.
But I'm just iffy about this Vegeta, I would appreciate it if you guys could give me your advice.
Is it real? I want to be sure before i buy it.
And does it look like the Seal was re-taped. IT looked like it was a Used one just re-taped. But I could be wrong, I would like your opinion before i commit to buying it.

It has the Gold Toei sticker, so that at least confirms its authentic (Though in rare cases the stickers do get bootlegged as well but we have yet to see it on any of the Figuarts bootlegs)
The boot tips look fine. They appear to have their proper shading and not just pure white like the Datong bootleg.
I'd say it's authentic from what I can see.

Cool, Thanks for the quick response.
This seller usually delivers quality goods, but with Vegeta being bootlegged so much, I'm paranoid/scared of getting ripped off.
I don't mind paying the money for an Authentic one, but getting played for a fake just pisses me off.
I have an Authentic Silver Toei, But i like to have 2x of each. So i can display one and keep 1 minty fresh in box.
Do you think it was re-taped though? The tape looks weird to me. What do you make of it?

The tape looks like it's just having some separation between the pieces of the box. Could it be re taped? Yes possibly but that piece is likely a new piece of tape. Mostly due to the clean "teeth-like" edges.
Compare the tape to other Figuarts' tape or ask if you can get a photo of the other taped side as well. The only true way to see if it was reaped is various photos or in-hand. If it was re-taped, the seller either used a new piece or carefully removed the original with tools. It's difficult to peel up that tape with damaging the "teeth" sides.
Also, pay through a service with a buyer protection plan like PayPal. Easier to get your money back.

Yeah, I am going to use paypal.
The seller has always delivered with previous figures.
But i was skeptical of Vegeta, just because there are so many fakes going around. I read a thread on here, where some poor guy got ripped off with someone switching vegetas. That sucks, and don't want that to happen to me, lol.
But i will check it out when i get it. Just waiting for the seller to get trunks as well.
Thanks guys.
