I open all of my figures. Especially with the Figuarts, they're meant to be posed and handled and they really are awesome for just that. I don't ever plan on selling my figures so I'm not afraid to open them. I collect figures because they represent some of my favorite anime series and to have them in their plasticky, detailed goodness is the best way to honor that.
It all depends on why you're collecting them. If you don't see yourself selling them, open em up and enjoy them! If you can I'd definitely recommend buying at least two from now on so you can have one to open and the other for MIB. From now on, I've been trying to get as many as I can so I can have some spares just in case. This line is always going up in value so even if the figure is opened, it can still be sold for quite a lot if it ever comes to that

If you buy Figuarts for the sole purpose of reselling them later on and/or are a collector that strictly prefers unopened figures, don't open them. If you buy them because of their amazing sculpts, articulation, and accessories, open them. I buy one of each SHF, and open them immediately regardless of what I paid for them. However, I'm extremely careful with them and keep everything as mint as possible just in case I get into a financial jam and must resort to selling them (worst case scenario). Even if they're open, you can still sell them for near or more than what you paid as long as they are complete and still in near mint condition.

I've never kept things in boxes as a kid or now so I love the fact I have kept most of them sealed but maybe when I have an area to display them I'll open them all. I was super careful with my SDCC vegeta. On the other hand the two I have opened (ss Goku , piccolo) were beautiful but piccolo had parts falling off and the cape was extremely difficult to put on as well. Just makes me half and half on opening in case I just don't like the figure

I had quit buying any toys at all, but between the DBZ SHF, MMPR SHF, and robot spirits Gundam Wing I have have a serious itch to scratch. I absolutely love to take the DBZ figures out and pose them. I couldn't imagine keeping them in the box, just sitting there and taunting me-waiting for me to pose them. I just hate buying stands!

Not just the articulation, but the different faces and hair make these a must open...too many options to not be appreciated.
