Lighting and quality might be an issue, same with screen settings. On my screen, it almost looks blue and brown. Maybe a picture with the lighting from in front of the dress and not behind it?

Lmao I was just looking at this. When I first saw one of the posts about the dress it was white and gold. 5 minutes later it was still bugging me and I googled it. Now it's freaking blue and black. I suspect some viral NSA stuff going down here...

I can assume that the blueish colour is just because of the backlight... I'd call it white and gold/light brown too.

WTF!! few hours ago i saw it as white & gold, few minutes ago as black & blue, and now it's white & gold again!!  |

It's still white and gold for me. Not sure where people get the black and blue thing. If I lower the brightness I guess I can see the blue and black.

One crappy photo, and they bring out "the science" to try to explain our eyes. Pathetically, this is so dumb and has been on TV, facebook, and even here. I read most of an article a few minutes ago where so-called experts said the science of our eyes and perception. This pic has NOTHING to do with our eyes and everything to do with crappy exposure and white balance via the camera. Our eyes see this perfectly fine. If you see anything except a VERY pale blue and gold dress, then your eyes aren't doing you any favors. In real life, the dress wouldn't look like this. It's such a piss poor photograph that the "experts" can't auto correct it into the blue and black dress that it is supposed to be. In other words, if any of your eyes are seeing black and royal blue as the colors... then you're talking out your ass or something is abnormal with your eyes.  Some guy on the news when I was channel surfing was like "it's obviously royal blue and black" and I was like... what a load of crap. Via such a horrible photo, you should be seeing a bluish white dress with gold accents. |
