Someone pointed out it's manga colors so the boots are technically accurate, to the manga at least. The Figuarts Zero Goku is the same. Really wish they would stop with the manga coloring and give us what we want, ANIME!

If you read their post on the official website, it's more like the opposite. It's the start of a new era in Dragon Ball figuarts. Future releases will most likely be standard instead of web exclusive, past releases may get "Advanced Coloring" editions, and they're giving us more and more characters and even accessories tailored specifically for Dragon Ball. It's reaching over 9000 levels

i guess i worded it wrong i really didnt mean downhill as a bad thing.for me personally this was the pinnacle of what i wanted i actually have had this exact look of goku tattooed on me for the last 15 years so to say this is what i wanted is a bit of an understatement.of course i want much more and excited for everything coming out but i thought it would be a while before we got battle damaged figs.

If you're so passionate over a slight color variation, just repaint one yourself when it releases. There is nothing wrong with them basing these off of the manga coloring, they still look great.

Best.DBZ.Figuarts.EVER! The Main Character, one of his definitive "looks" from arguably the best saga in the entire series, amazing sculpting, great articulation... It's hard to argue the overwhelming popularity of this one. What's interesting too is that it looks like Tamashii is going to "test" the DB Figuarts figure market again with having this as a regular release. This should be a STRONG seller given Dragon Ball's recent worldwide resurgence in attention and interest...thanks in part to the movies and the upcoming DBS series. It looks like their cornered to hit the market hard around Christmas-time with this release, DBZ:RF SSGSS Goku, Golden Frieza and AC SSJ Vegeta re-release. It's a great time to be a Dragon Ball fan!

I'm sure there's plenty of people that don't care whether it's manga or anime, but most of the international audience (anyone outside of Japan) is more familiar with the anime than the manga. It just makes sense to have them resemble the anime since that's what a majority of the mainstream fans are familiar with. I'm too lazy to paint or customize figures anyway, but lately they've been giving us a good mixture from both mediums. I personally prefer anime over manga coloring but I'm not knocking anyone that doesn't agree with me, to each their own!

I'm on the flipside, prodigy and prefer most of the manga colors for the characters...the biggest exception is Capsule Corp. outfit Trunks. I like the darker jacket and pants of the anime version.
However, I think some of the color changes are so subtle that most of the mainstream audience doesn't even really notice. I suppose it does make a good excuse for "anime-color" event exclusives though!

I just personally prefer anime over manga. The anime colors though seem more vibrant and alive to me, plus I don't read manga, I just watch anime. Actually most figures are the same coloring in both manga and anime! Plus, for most figures that are very different from manga to anime, they've been providing the anime repaint versions so it's been working out fine the way it is now. I would just prefer anime be the standard instead of the manga, but that's just me!

I am in love with this figure! It looks amazing, if future releases look as good as this, the line will really be one to collect with consistent, gorgeous releases!

This looks ridiculously good. I hope the skin color won't mismatch too much with past releases because I have to put regular and SSJ3 Gokuu's heads on that body.
