Another tip I'd like to add is.. Don't waste your time and money. If you notice you're not doing so well, because you're not taking it seriously, or just not understanding. Then I suggest dropping out, and getting a J.O.B. I myself, didn't take my first yr of college serious. which ended up w/me having to leave, and go back home. I went to a school out of state, thinking I was the bomb, cause I was on my own for the first time. Well, I didn't do too well w/that "power". All I did was party and chase tail and it ended up costing me BIG time. I didn't have a scholar ship, so of course I had to borrow money, and up until 1yr ago, all my work checks were getting garnished by the gov for what I owed. lol. smh. Eventually, I ended going back to a local community college, that I paid up front for with my money. And even though that wasn't a complete waste of my time, I ended up dropping out, because I couldn't juggle working full(40+ hrs a wk) time and going to school. I might(big might) end up going back, but for now... Well, lets just say money talks. We have very gr8 convo's all the time.

I went to orientation 2 days ago but that didnt help at all. They talked about giving it your best, what the school had to offer, and then a magic show. Afterwards they gave us food. That's it. Lol. Unless I missed the actual/helpful orientation. Well I noticed the orientation building had a g, so I guess they do?
Brown that's what I'm worried about lol. I think I have a grant but wtf do I know. As for wasting time/money I joined the accounting guideline? Classes? Because they asked me for something, and I didn't know what to say lol. Hopefully I like it! As for the "power" I might be able to handle it, hopefully.

Orientation is always pretty useless lol but it's a good way to meet people. That's where I met one of my best friends. Try to join clubs early on so you can get the most from them. If your school has a spring and fall involvement fair, then you should try to attend those and you could find a lot of neat and interesting clubs to join. Who knows, there could be a DBZ Fan Club there What school are you going to and what's your major if you don't mind me asking?

South Texas college, :x. As for the major, this just proves how clueless I am of college/universities, I don't know. I guess it would be called accounting? I hate my high school. Lol.

My orientation laid out everything we had to do cause they hate students asking questions, we're all directed to the school website for everything. Can't find you class? Use the online map. Need to change your major? Do it online via this form cause its not like its a major life decision or anything. Its rather cold and robotic.
I don't know what accounting is aside from numbers and math....I think. Do you like that stuff? If not have you considered just doing general studies until you figure out what you want to do? I did that for a semester then got into graphic design.

A future CPA! Nice man, that's a good field to be in. Especially for business majors, joining clubs would be you're best bet to really getting the most out of college. You could make a lot of friends that have your same interests and you could have connections during and after college for jobs. Watch out for the dark side of college especially as a freshman. Too much partying can really set you on the wrong track but still try to have fun just don't be stupid with it. Try to really concentrate on you're grades especially in the beginning because that sets your GPA and if you start out with bad grades, it's tough to bring it up later on. Most of all just enjoy your time there, don't stress out and study Gohan! (Chi Chi Voice)

Oh another tip! (and this will save you tons of money, money that could go to a good cause, like figuarts for example). when you find out the books your suppose to buy, buy the lower edition (ex: 9th book, buy the 8th edition instead), theres HARDLY any difference. and in amazon its like 20 bucks vs to 120 brand new in the book stores.
but yeah get your master roshi on! just be safe! lol

I love college right now. It helped me get over my bad relationship with my ex. There's a cute girl in every single one of my classes and they all notice me and stare at me during class. I'm just waiting until we do group projects so I can talk to them and hopefully they don't have a BF that's one thing that sucks pretty much everybody is in a relationship. Anyways I take night classes as it's better and I won't have to deal with the heat during the day. The only thing I'm starting to hate about college is all the assignments teachers change, because they're giving us more work and making us do a big presentation at the end of the semester. >.<

I went to a major university, joined a fraternity, and had the funnest time of my life for a year in a half. A great job opportunity combined with my artistic interest compelled me to drop out and save my money, but college is great. My advice would be to take the school side of it seriously from day 1 and keep your head above water by asking for help and talking to your teachers. Also, join clubs and groups around campus. Meet lots of people! Everyone your age is looking to meet as many friends as possible so don't be shy! Also, not to get preachy, but please be careful with your drinking. You can have a great time without getting black-out wasted like you will see many people do at the parties you attend. Keep track and moderate it. Don't ever drive home after drinks, call a cab. Call a cab for your friends. Have a blast dude, you'll remember these years.

My schedule is so f'ed up though. Way different than what I picked. I woke up at 5(didnt sleep to tell ya the truth) to go to a class at 7am which my dad told me only to find out its tomorrow. Anyways on Mondays/Wednesdays I only have one class at 10-11:30. My other 3 classes are on Tuesday/Thursdays one at 7-9am, other at 10-12pm, and finally the last one at 5:30-6:30. Like what the actual f? I have s much spare time on monday(I'm home now) with nothing to do! Maybe later ill have homework or something. Right now making customs sounds like a neat idea to pass the time, and I'm home alone. As for my first class it seemed okay expect for the teacher who's an old lady and has a creepy smile, and the class is art appreciation. What the eff does that have to do with accounting? D: as for the girls... It was a rather disappointing show. Now the ones I saw in the parking lot and the hall way.... Anyways hopefully tomorrow isnt a pain in the ass. Anyways Quick question! Any good sites to buy college text box for cheap? Amazon maybe? also any funny stories of your college experience would be appreciated!
