Is that what it was? Seemed like a whole lot of completely unwarranted flack. Since Bran got us on the topic of discussing the behaviour of the members on the boards as a whole; I say the lot of you need to harden up. Seriously. You behave like a bunch of precotious fairies flitting about in bewilderment every time you disagree with something I say. Oh, I said something looked terrible - well then, this person is obviously a satanic Nazi hell-spawn sent from the depths of planet Uranus to wreak unmerciful havoc on this earnest and innocent universe. No, I just said something looks terrible - because it does.

Dude, I see custom work that looks terrible ALL the time...and I get the urge to lash out at people for making something so awful and calling it "work" and releasing it online...but I don't. It's too douchey. You do it behind the scenes? Cool, no big deal, but directly on a person's thread where they can see it? Seems uncalled for, especially since FDF's beams look good. Holding back on irrational anger isn't being a fairy, it's being decent.
(to be fair...yes, this particular incident seems to be blown a little out of proportion)

Maybe if you list the reasons why you think it does or ways they could improve(and maybe you have done that in other posts, but I'm just going off of the one Bran posted in this topic), people wouldn't take so much offense to it. |

If you're going to criticize others for their work so often, you should probably show some of your customs. Don't talk the talk if you can't walk the walk. On another forum, I sell my custom products, and when someone tells me something "looks like crap" blah blah blah, when they haven't even customized anything, it pisses me off more than anything. Of course everyone has the right to have their own opinions, and to express them, but if you can't do any better, don't put other people down. Toadkart made a good point about at least giving some reasons for your opinion and some tips for how the customizer can improve their product.

Long story short, SupremeKai, whether you like it or not, if you continue to be a negative aspect of DBF to any or all members, we'll kick your ass out. Treat others how you want to be treated. If you continue to be rude, insulting, or generally treat others poorly, we're going to return the favor and send you packing, whether it's by warnings, suspensions, or IP banning. If you want to be a part of this online community, you will have to be a positive component of it. Your strike 1 warning wasn't solely due to your rude posts on fdf's topic. Those posts were the straw that broke the camel's back. AKA the last straw. Here's reality: You're not well-liked and you're basically the ONLY person from DBT we were seriously considering not allowing to join DBF in the first place. To that point, if you reply to this post with any sort of argument defending your actions again, I will personally put you on a 2 week suspension from being able to post just so I won't have to suffer through reading anymore of obnoxiousness or criticism for two weeks. You and I haven't had a problem before, but you're starting to become one for me. If you're as intelligent as you seem to portray yourself as, you should have some self-awareness to know that you're on thin ice. |
