I'm gonna keep my hopes that one day it will arise, but I personally wouldn't be interested in buying it, it's just kinda fun to hunt  The story I was referring to was a comment you made on the old site, can't find it right now, but now I think it was just a joke or something, or maybe it wasn't even you that said it haha. |

I see Trunks pop up on eBay more frequently than the others, but I did see all 3 on there the other day. How much did the one you're referring to sell for?

Maybe so, but there are no picture to substantiate their existence. There's just the one prototype in two variations of the same picture from two ancient printed pieces. If there's truly 300 or even 30, we'd have seen a picture of one in someone's collection by now or seen one for sale. The height of dbz's popularity in the US was around 2001 and not many dbz products even existed other than bandai (sbc, sc, fap, fak, bea), epoch, popy, yutaka, rubber gashapons (made by popy, yutaka, bandai, and possibly others), ab super guerriers, and irwin reissues of these items, and I never saw one pop up on Yahoo Japan auctions, eBay, or in anyone's massive collection. It was easy to look at dbz products back then because there were not many items available. Japan wasn't really making any new gashapons, much less anything else, until after about 2003 when they released the brown "bottle cap" db gashapons, so YJ was not too complicated to look at. I've probably seen everything else made in the 90s for sale at one time or another except for this, so I would say it is all hearsay that multiple copies exist. Whatever source(s) came up with this information, whether old (daizenshuu or whatever the source might have been) or new (toyfare magazine if I remember correctly, approximately 7 years ago, supposedly contacting bandai and asking), simply must be wrong or one would have surfaced.  |
