On the bright side: the Beerus corrects a massive flaw... how ugly the original figure's head was. The new one looks great.
I hope to see more new figures too, but my guess is that DB isn't the most profitable or popular product line Bandai has right now, so it's kind of low priority. Maybe once the new movie comes out in the US (when...?) things will perk up. Based on the last 3 years, we should expect new Evolve figures in August. I'm going to be distraught if we don't get at least 3 new ones...

It's difficult to predict what they'll do with the Evolve line. They recently released 3 Naruto figures in an adjacent line which normally would be a good sign that the scale is doing well. I have a small fear that it may be replacing the Dragonball line though which would be a big problem.
Now that I think about it, the slow down in Dragon Stars figures seems to line up well with the acceleration of the Anime Heroes line. They released at least 10 new Anime Heroes figures in the last couple of years (5 Naruto, 5 One Piece, there could be more?). Perhaps Bandai just have an anime budget and they've put Dragonball on the backburner for a bit in favour of the other properties. I hope that's not the case, but it does seem to fit pretty well as a theory.

I love the face on the new Fourth Form Frieza! Might actually consider getting this one, just because.

crisis I don't own the DS figure, but I do know he's significantly taller than the SHF with a larger head as well.

Dragon Stars Power Up Pack SS Vegito, Battle Pack Legendary SS Broly and SS Goku 2 pack, and SS Rose Goku Black power up pack are on Amazon now. SS Vegito power up pack: amzn.to/3z1OR9A has a September 13, 2022 release date LSS Broly vs. SS Goku Battle Pack: amzn.to/3RBtfIGSS Rose Goku Black power up pack is also available: amzn.to/3cdtV6LIt seems like the paint colors on Broly are identical to the BAF from a couple years ago. The big difference is the facial expression. This is a good opportunity for any 5 inch scale collectors who missed him, since he's waaaaaay better than SBC LSS Broly.

Weird they decided to make a new Limit Breaker based off that version of Gohan and not some of the newer stuff featured in Super Hero. Cell Max would be perfect.

Oh, I just realized with the in box shot, it does look like Beerus has new arms as now he has the biceps swivel, which I think the first one didn't have.

It’s not totally clear, but it looks like that must have been a late change. The image on the back of the box doesn’t appear to have it. Interesting stuff.

I posted about this in the checklist, but it probably should be here instead. Here's comparisons I made in Photoshop of the DB Super Hero movie Goku and Piccolo Dragon Stars figures compared to the older Dragon Stars figures. It looks like the Piccolo figure is entirely new and different from every piece of the original Piccolo figure. The hands might be the only pieces being reused. Goku looks like he may reuse some parts like the top of his boots and maybe his arms (but they look shorter and better on the upcoming one... so maybe not...), but all of the stuff I didn't like about the old one has been replaced. And it's worth mentioning... and worth talking about... how the new hip design looks like it will finally allow a lot more movement than the old design. Gamma 1's skirt is going to limit his hip movement, but he looks a lot better than I expected he would. In my personal opinion... Dragon Stars looks like it is under new management, by someone with an eye for detail, and I think they've been listening to complaints. The pants look good and some of the articulation problems look like they are getting fixed too. Now... really... the question has to be... will these improvements be enough to convince people to buy these instead of the Figuarts versions? Keep in mind, at least some of the Figuarts versions are being released widely, even at Target stores. And so the question is... at $22-$25 will you buy this Piccolo? Or will you get the Figuarts one for $38 instead? What about Goku for $35? Vegeta for $35? Gohan for $35? I could be wrong, but I don't think the Figuarts Gammas will be sold by stores like Target. So perhaps the Dragon Stars Gammas will sell well. But I just don't know about the Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Gohan. For $10 more (each), you get a LOT better looking figures with better articulation and better accessories. The best thing about the Dragon Stars Piccolo and Gohan is that their shoes don't look dumb like the Figuarts figures' shoes do.
