Hey, idk if anyone has talked about this already, but I was scrolling through the DS figures on BigBadToyStore, and I noticed the newer figures say they were made by Bandai Namco, rather than Bandai America like the older figures, is this a mistake, or did the line get moved from BA to BN?

I believe Bandai America no longer exists as it’s own entity. Its instagram is now named Bandai Namco Play. It’s all Bandai though.

Would you happen to know when they moved the line to Bandai Namco?, as it's something I now need to note on the page I made for these figures on my Wiki

Yeah last year on April 1st, which was a really bad day to announce it, they announced that the traditional bandai America, which is usually just known as bandai, would be called bandai namco play, or bandai namco toys, and then they're collectibles division would then just be called bandai namco collectibles, that's most of their import stuff. That's something that I've noticed as well is that a lot of newer ones will say bandai namco and a lot of newer reissues will say bandai namco, so there's been a couple times that I've seen like ultra instinct Goku still with the broly piece but then there's the bandai namco logo alongside the regular bandai logo

Jacob Dozier posted in the Facebook group DB6.5 that he found Dragon Stars Majin Vegeta on this website: www.nda-toys.com/product/18060/dragon-stars-majin-vegeta-wholesaleI'm not familiar with this website, and I'm wondering if it's authentic or not. If I sort their Dragon Ball products from newest to oldest www.nda-toys.com/804/dragon-ball-wholesale?sort=5 the chronological order doesn't match up too well with releases and it's odd to see Nappa without Saiyan Saga Vegeta, for example. It could be possible that Majin Vegeta is the third figure in the Omega Shenron, Beast Gohan wave, but I don't think that's worth speculating yet.

Is Omega Shenron meant to be out yet? He's on Amazon EU.

solubletoast I've seen several Mexican collectors already have him in their possession. In the US he is supposed to release in early July, around July 7. I noticed that the Amazon listing no longer exists for some reason. Perhaps they got too many pre-orders and needed to stop receiving them...? Whatever the case, I can see it in my order history, but the link no longer works (and neither do my links in this thread). I'm very curious why Majin Vegeta has surfaced, yet we don't see an Orange Piccolo. I don't know how/why the Dragon Stars line would have Beast Gohan, but not Orange Piccolo. I'm also a little bothered by the lack of Cell Max figures overall. I'd settle for a Semiperfect Cell mold that they could paint red and just call a small Cell Max. (hint hint, Bandai).

Branjita is Omega part of the same wave as Beast Gohan? Amazon EU has Beast Gohan listed as July 6th release like you said but Omega is in stock. The waves seem to be a bit all over the place lately. Maybe the ripples of COVID still effecting the line?

solubletoast I don't know what the deal is with Dragon Stars these days, so it's hard to say with certainty. They haven't consistently done "waves" the way they did in years past (well... except the two waves of Super Hero movie figures). One figure tends to come out, then another one a little later, and so on. I might be inaccurate, but I believe that started happening around the time Master Roshi was released. I believe SSB Goku came out one month, followed by Wrath Broly the next month, and then some more time passed and eventually Master Roshi came out, and Master Roshi featured all three characters on the back of the package. Wrath Broly's package just shows him and SSB Goku. Sometimes, it looks like only 2 figures are in the wave, like Beerus 2.0 and Frieza form 4 2.0. At the moment, it appears that Beast Gohan and Omega Shenron are part of the same wave, with no third character in the wave. It's possible that Majin Vegeta could be that third character. It's also possible that they aren't considered part of the same wave, because Beast Gohan's packaging doesn't show Omega Shenron on the back, or vice-versa. It's very confusing. Coinciding with the same release time period as Omega Shenron and Beast Gohan is this battle pack of Piccolo vs. Gamma 2. amzn.to/3NGylmLIt's also been mentioned on Facebook that there's a SS4 Gogeta power up pack upcoming, but I don't have the pic, and I don't know if it was legit or Photoshopped.

Honestly I think they're just kind of switching to a 'release a couple new figures here and there, but mostly all reissues' type model, because at least here in the US, it's mostly either online exclusive or in the electronics aisle of the real stores, and usually they just stock whatever. Kind of like how with figuarts they just kind of have a rotating cycle of reissues. By slowly but surely getting rid of cross sells on the back it makes it harder to look less funky when you release a figure from 2018, even though those still have build a figure parts for some reason

Yeah, I'm glad I'm not someone trying to track the releases and re-releases of Dragon Stars. Despite me starting this site, I am not personally interested in that info. There's surely minor differences (at least in Dragon Stars packaging) and it would be a really hard thing to keep up with. I watch Entertainment Earth's newly added figures to make sure I don't miss out on seeing anything, and they often have the most unexpected pre-orders. Like... right now... they have Dragon Stars Janemba for pre-order, so he must be getting a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th re-release. And when I go to Target, I see some really unexpected figures pretty often. I saw SS Broly from the SSB Gogeta vs. Broly movie a few weeks ago, and that figure came out years ago. I wish someone that obsessive was keeping track of things like that here on DBF, but I haven't encountered anyone who is paying attention with that much passion or insider-info. Somebody would have to work at Target or Gamestop and be the one opening the shipping boxes to probably keep track of that info.

Yeah it's a bit all over the place, I think it's only really worth noting running changes personally, like the fixed belt ultra instinct Goku and the bandai namco box change
