For mine I mixed Delta Ceramcoat purple, tompte red, and fuchsia with DecoArt Pearlizing Medium. I barely used any purple. It turned out about the right color. Do a search of my finished customs topic for "god" and I'm sure you'll see it.

Thanks Bran! I'll have to check it out. I've seen various sites saying his hair is a Magenta color, so I bought Magenta paint and have been mixing it, but I've had trouble getting them to be the various shades of the pictures I posted. It's been a trouble.

Yeah, it is a problem. I recommend printing a pic of him and testing the color you've mixed by dabbing a dot of it on the paper on his hair to see if it matches. The flames that surround him in pics make the hair look more red too, which is a problem.

I know right!? It's a major problem! Then you also have the Battle of Z God Goku and don't get me started on that. The thing is, for certain shades, I actually went away from the purpleish color for a bit since I own two Shodo God Goku's...Couldn't replicate that well either. Currently I have 4 Goku's that I've been testing colors on. When I paint them in the beginning, I think they're perfect. Then my OCD kicks in and I keep repainting and repainting and am still nowhere near where I'd like the colors to be. I want to replicate the two hair colors that from the pictures that I posted.

I just used the eyedropper tool on that first pic, and it's these two colors if you want to print this.

I have those types of pictures, actually. It's just a matter of getting a color or mix of colors to match it. Which I haven't been able to do, even while eyeballing it

I used probably something like 4 drops of fuchsia, 2 drops of tompte red, 1/4 drop of purple, and 5 drops of pearlizing medium. I hate Delta Ceramcoat's pearl stuff, so buy the DecoArt. I did a much better job on the 2nd one since the movie was actually out in theaters when I made it and I had more pics to base it on. I was basing the first one on pics where he had the flames around him unfortunately, because there were only 3 pics of SSG at the time. My first sculpt was not very good or accurate either.

Is the Pearlizing Medium simply for the shine effect?

Yeah, it gives it the pearl look. The 2nd one has a lot more mixed in. I use it in all of my SS hair repaints to make the yellow shine more. The Delta Ceramcoat brand sucks ass though, don't buy it. Get DecoArt. The Ceramcoat type doesn't make things look like this

Huh. Yeah, I've only gotten Delta because it's all the brand I can find in the area of which I live. But I'm such a snob when it comes to getting colors right, so it's been important to nail this down. I might even show the finished product despite none of them being impressive. I'm still a kid at heart who plays with his figures haha. Now if only the toy makers would wise up and make HG size Beerus and God Goku figures.....

I don't know if DecoArt even makes regular paints. At Hobby Lobby the Pearlizing Medium is always to the side of the racks of colored paints among all the weird stuff that doesn't show on the bottle what it does. Crackling medium... varnish... etc.

What confuses me is they've also shown his hair to be like this. This is why I wanted someone to make me a custom of him in the HG scale size haha

2. does anyone know what is safe to use to remove the eyes from SHF normal Goku/ krillin ??
3. what was the tip to tighten up normal SHF Vegeta's loose leg ??

1) fill in cracks with apoxie then paint over
2.) if you mean like pupils you can simply paint over or first use fine grit sand paper
3) what I've done is pop off the leg, apply small amount of super glue to the ball join attached the the hip section spread around evenly and let dry, then re attach leg. Essentially you are making the joint like 1mm thicker so it won't be loose when leg is in place

I'll give that glue trick a try on vegeta's leg I think... best remember to let it dry first though!!!
