friezku I Know I'm Late to This, So You Probably Already Did It or Not, But From Looking, With Enough Tooling and Changing, It Could Work Pretty Good Actually

I've never used Modge Poge on a figure before. Theoretically, people are using that instead of clearcoat, and they might have reasonably good success. They might be doing it since matte clear is hard to find in a brush-on configuration, and spraying figures with articulation doesn't tend to turn out very good unless the parts are sprayed separately.
I'd test Modge Poge on something you are willing to ruin, instead of something you've spent hours painting. See how it turns out, so you can learn from your mistakes (if any) before ruining what you've worked really hard on.

aidenthetoymaniac whatever you use, make sure it dries really well before you move any articulation. That's typically the biggest failure involving clear--touching it before it is fully dry. Ideally, wait 24 hours, if not longer... depending how thick it is. I always put my figures under a the relatively hot light bulb of my lamp for a few hours to help the paint dry. It doesn't work with an LED bulb, just the regular type.

Quick question: I'm trying to make some custom figure to add characters to super battle collection style (so they will be made in that style) do you guys know where to find like bootleg bodies/figs or blank sbc bodies (if they exist) that have the same style as sbc? I tried to find on ebay etc. but bootlegs aren't that cheap.

lysk1 I think the cheapest option for you at this point would be buying small lots of loose DBZ figures on ebay and Mercari. A lot of SBC tend to be in the cheaper lots, as Irwin reissued tons of SBC figures over and over, and those auctions tend to not sell for very much. The most recent SBC bootlegs (that I can remember... that were in very plentiful supplies) were the Cyber Z Fighters bootlegs from around 2003... so 20 years ago. Even those are expensive now. What characters are you looking for? I don't have many SBC in my scrap pile for custom figures, but I do have some, and some parts and pieces. Just don't get too excited. The only things I can think of off the top of my head are possible a Vol 1 Goku missing the shirt and a bootleg Future Trunks, possibly without the accessories. I do have a lot of the accessories though...

Branjita yes I think I'll have to look out for lots. I was interested in making saiyan saga characters, so nappa and raditz (and maybe even turles). Nappa I think I will have some trouble on making him in scale with the line, for raditz I was trying to find a saiyan saga vegeta and to customize it from there (modding the armor with putty and then repainting everything) and attaching other raditz figure's head. That was the Idea.

lysk1 Giochi Preziosi or AB actually made Raditz and Nappa, both of which are somewhat similar to SBC in style, except they have ball jointed shoulders. You might be interested in them. Generally, you'd need to look at www.ebay.fr to find them, but some French sellers show up on www.ebay.com as well. The Irwin ones actually look really good with SBC, especially since Irwin didn't start shading the paint work on figures when they produced Nappa and Raditz. I'd actually recommend those heavily. If you don't like those Raditz options, there's also the Banpresto DX Raditz, but it's a bit shorter than the Irwin one... I don't remember the height of the AB Raditz off the top of my head...

Branjita Thank you! Do you have by any chance a picture of the AB ones? I didn't understand which one you are referring to.
Those irwin looks fantastic honestly I might get them anyway.

lysk1 here's a pic of Dimitri Both's collection of them. I believe this is every character made in that series. For verbal reference, the Chi Chi, Yamcha, and Yajirobe scale perfectly with SBC and Irwin figures. Kami is a little short, but not bad at all. Bulma is about half a head too tall. Krillin's about right, but I don't like his face and I don't like posed figures... personally. The rest are a mix of a little large, a little small, or a little awkward in proportions. The Nappa has a large head and isn't quite tall enough. The Radiz would be about right if his legs were longer. Since these were released in France and maybe some of the surrounding countries around 2005, it's still easier to find them on ebay.fr than ebay.com. But since 2005 was nearly 20 years ago, obviously a lot of collectors have brought them over to the US. They just aren't as common. Most of these characters have ball jointed shoulders, and simple neck and waist rotation. The legs don't move, so they are very similar to SBC in that manner. If you wanted to make a custom figure... I haven't seen anyone use the shirtless Goku for Tien, but if you increased the length of his legs, he sure could make a nice one. As far as pricing... I think you'd be very lucky to pay $20 each for any of them. You'd be more likely to see ~$60 each I would guess. Kami is usually a $100 figure since he's insanely rare.

lysk1 several of the Jakks Goku figures have heads that would adapt onto an Evolve Goku body reasonably well... most likely. The size is right, at least. Here are the main options (that are cheap): www.ebay.com/itm/255381678501 I like this head best, because this face sculpt is better than the End of DBZ (blue gi) Goku
www.ebay.com/itm/204554255042 This is the main other option... I'm not a fan of this face, because Goku doesn't really have a chin... so it looks a little strange.
www.ebay.com/itm/256230120721 This Goku has a massive Tien-sized body, and the head might be engineered for a rather large peg, but it's exactly the same head as the previous one, just engineered to fit a different body.
Every other option is either very expensive or has a head or hair style that is going to look too large on an Evolve body. The Irwin heads will take too much work to adapt to an Evolve body and they are a little bit bigger than these.

Is there any recommendations for Majin Vegeta/just normal SS Vegeta heads I could paint the M onto that could fit on the Jakks body?
I would love the Trilogy Majin Vegeta, but seeing as how rare that figure is, my plan is to get the Art of Fusiom Vegeta (the one with the ugly face) and replace the head to recreate Majin Vegeta. Currently the best option I see is maybe the Ultimate Struggles SS head? The WCF Majin Vegeta head is very expensive now so its not really a great option. I would prefer the face to be neutral rather than a smirk, to recreate the BT3 render.

futureztrunks67 do you dislike the Irwin SS Majin Vegeta head? If not, it should be relatively easy to adapt one to a Jakks neck since that Vegeta head is very similar in design to Jakks Vegeta heads. In fact, I believe that's the exact same head on the Trilogy Majin Vegeta based on this pic.

In fact, I believe that's the exact same head on the Trilogy Majin Vegeta based on this pic. I was trying to figure out if this was a custom or the actual figure, giving how sparse images of it are. Not the biggest fan of the face, as id rather have neutral than a smirk, but it looks like a good option. Some other ideas Ive thrown around are a Walmart Evolve SS Vegeta and a WCF Base form Vegeta (the one where hes making the sign to Trunks, because he looking to the left like when he uses Final Impact) head modded. Thank you for the help.
