I haven't had a reply to my questions for my contact at Bandai yet. Sometimes I don't hear back for a while, and it's only been 7 days. My personal assumption is that Wave 17 just hasn't made it to the US yet for some weird reason. It came out in the UK in like... October 2020 or something like that (right?). It's strange that Goku, Vegeta, and Gotenks haven't made it to the US yet, but they haven't. The World Martial Arts Tournament playset which includes Goku (only the DX version includes Goku) has only been found in Europe as well. That Goku is the figure in wave 17... so... it's not a coincidence. Also, someone on Facebook posted this updated checklist. I have no idea who made it, but here it is:  |

Looks like there is a Dragon Star Series (6" scale... not the 2" or whatever those small ones are) called "Power Up Pack". Goku and SS Vegeta look to be series 1. I will post picts later for those interested but they have stands, ki blasts, and power up backdrop effects. So the box is about same height but around 2" wider with all the extras in it, than the standard dragon star series boxes.

Yes, those are DS figures with different facial expressions and a larger (wider) box. I saw them in person at Target a couple weeks ago, but didn't take pics or buy any. They are a pretty neat option for those wanting effects.

Branjita yeah i noticed the new face on Vegeta, he is yelling vs mouth closed or teeth grinding snarl on any previous. Today at Vintage Stock they had a goku/Mutenroshi two pack i picked up. Very DBS mold/sculpt on the goku. Both have a metalic shine to their paint/colors. My Targets and GameStops are not ahead of the curve when it comes to these figures.

Saw a Vegeta with scouter and original armor for pre-order on Amazon today. To be released Feb 12th 2022. Looks like there is a Nappa planned too but I cant find it for sale yet. Those two are being called "series 20". If similar to last wave (series 19)... it started with just Broly and SSG Goku on the box... then Roshi was added and considered part of series 19 wave. There may be a 3rd coming down the road.   |

picked up a "TARGET" exclusive this weekend. Janemba vs SS Gogeta (halo). its not just a simple repack from what i can tell of the single figures into a 2pack. both have new open mouth facial expressions. Gogeta has open palm hands that i dont see in the single box.

Looks like the next three Dragon Stars figures will be DBS Super Hero Goku, Gamma 1, and Piccolo, with a release date of April 2023. Based on these poses... it looks like they massively reworked the hip joints. Too bad it's too late for them to go back and fix Janemba! (That figure looks great, but can do absolutely no poses with squatting legs!) Are these as good as SHF or DB Evolve? Nah. But they sure look like they have improved a lot.     It looks like the Piccolo figure is entirely new and different from every piece of the original Piccolo figure. The hands might be the only pieces being reused.  Goku looks like he may reuse some parts like the top of his boots and maybe his arms (but they look shorter and better on the upcoming one... so maybe not...), but all of the stuff I didn't like about the old one has been replaced.  |

I see the pre-orders for these now. They just had to do another Goku? Was hoping for a new Gohan from that movie.

This Target Exclusive Dragon Stars Super Saiyan Goku (DBS Broly Version) figure has been found in the last few days, and there was never an announcement preceding it, so this is a big surprise.   |
