I now own the Bandai America version of this, as well as the Bandai UK version. I don't own the DX version that includes Goku, so those images come from a seller in China on ebay. The packaging is quite a bit more different than I expected to see, so I wanted to share. The one that comes with Goku is labeled Tenkaichi Budokai DX, while the other two are labeled Tenkaichi Budokai. The "DX" version comes with Goku.
The US version has English and French text, and an orange colored back. The UK (and presumably other European countries) version has more translations of the text and a black colored back. The DX version which includes Goku has the same text as the UK/European version, but an additional sticker in Japanese and a Toei sticker, among other small differences.

From what buyers have told me on Facebook, the DX version that includes Goku has been found in the UK and Spain. I think it has been found in Mexico too. For history's sake (and people seeing this post 10 years from now...), it's worth noting that Wave 17 (Goku--this same one, Vegeta, and Gotenks) hasn't arrived in the US yet either. It's almost February 2021 now, and the UK saw wave 18 clear back in October or November 2020. Wave 17 was first seen in July 2020 for pre-order on Amazon.co.uk. Some people bought Wave 17 from sellers in Mexico, because they also got Wave 17 sometime in November.

Branjita Thank god i saw this post, as when i get to this on my wiki page for these figures, it'll be good to know that there are 2 (technically 3) versions of this set.

aidenthetoymaniac I don't know if it's worthwhile for me to mention this, but when I was in Gibraltar (south of Spain) last week, I saw one of the ones with the Goku in it. I didn't pick it up and analyze it. I just glanced at it and took this pic.

I rarely add the Multilingual/Foreign versions of Figures, or Figures's Boxes, Unless there's a Notable difference, and from looking at this, compared to the others, I can't really tell any differences except for the Multilingual Box, but thanks anyways for showing me this! |

aidenthetoymaniac well, this version came with a Goku figure, and the US version never did, so that's the main variation.
