I was watching this old Irwin commercial when I saw something cool... Trunks looks much better as a hand painted figure.

Branjita seeing that commercial makes me want to almost cry, man do i miss the old irwin and Jakks DBZ figures so much, they were my entire childhood. The nostagia hit me hard seeing that!

They were really nice! It's hard to believe in just 10 years the average price of DBZ figure collecting went from $7 each (Irwin/Jakks) to $35 each (SHF). Now... I don't know what the average SHF costs (probably $60ish), but the average DBZ figure overall is surely $30 now. Irwin and Jakks both gave us some really good stuff back in the day for the money.
It's a real shame that once Irwin started pumping out some really great figures (Series 6 to Series 11) they went bankrupt. If they were in charge of the license today, I'm sure we'd have a Caulifla by now. I'm not sure why Bandai keeps ignoring her in every single line of figures.

I'm like, 10 days late! But I got it up! I took a few pictures of the Jakks Trunks and King Cold loose set I recently bought. They're high-res. I even have one of Mecha Frieza next to King Cold for comparison. Like I said, Cold is my fav of the 2 even though I like the Trunks. I love the straps holding his cape in place the most on this. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1wbZpRrOefFZqGaNh-40J6y4alsSH5cT0

It says I need "Access" to see it

Fixed it. I didn't realize it was giving people problems. Granted you access, I'll have to look into it further.

I think this recently sold Vegeta figure (for $299.99 + shipping) was possibly an Irwin toy fair display piece, even though it wasn't advertised as such by the seller (named "My toys are on fire"). The only release of this figure that I am aware of was a Bandai America 1997 release in a black box. Although the figures were labeled as 16" Dragonball Z Figures on the boxes, they are actually closer to 10 or 11 inches if I remember right. Sometimes these are referred to as "The Saga Continues" figures. Regardless, I don't remember ever seeing an Irwin version of this figure, and considering how starved we all were for DBZ figures back in 1998-2001, I surely would have seen this before if it was released. It has some text on the front that is strangely placed and cut off (Small Parts... Under 3 years...). I messaged the seller, and they sent me a pic of the copyright info, and you'll notice that there is not a UPC barcode on this package. I don't think it was sold in a store. I think this was a packaging prototype, likely displayed at Toy Fair or similar. Now... let's compare to the Bandai America 1997 version... which was definitely released... though... always a rare, hard to find figure, even in the late 1990s and early 2000s.... Pics of the black box production version made by Bandai America. This seller's pics are so perfect that I feel like I have to share all of them...

Doom showed me this pic. Perhaps that Vegeta is the one that appears in this old advertisement. I'm fairly confident the figure was never rereleased by Irwin...
