You know I find it very weird with how big a hit Dragonball was that nobody has ever released Dr. Slump in the US. You'd think some company would try to capitalize on the DBZ thing.

Ya but all they'd have to do is put "From the creator of Dragonball Z" on the front of the package and they'd get sales just off that. Really weird considering some of the unknown stuff they do release here. Maybe I should start a kickstarter to buy the rights to it in North America.

Only company I would guess that would ever pick it up would be Sentai Filmworks.

wcf doesn't really "retails" anywhere. if you're a good player or lucky, you might pay 300 yen for one figure but that's rarely the case. you have to win them and there are people who spend over 1k yen and leave empty handed. with that said, the value of a figure could average at 500 yen. but things get complicated when not all figures have the same ratio. that just means some figure quantities are less than others when packed and delivered to the game centers. those figures can reach up to 1,000 yen to 2,000 yen depending on the character and popularity of the anime. lately or in the past three years, resellers have been able to order big quantities as if they were a UFO crane machine business. they then would price accordingly to what they vs what the average of the figure is by judging it to the availability level on the case they got. it's not uncommon to see these figures for a premium,.specially when few quantities were disbursed to Sellers and crane machines sites. this also happens in view of the popularity of the figure and show. A oolong won't cost as much as a Nami from one piece. keep in mind that most if not all USA Sellers who sell these figures, had to order in bulk and pay Banpresto for them. because of the nature of these figures, you will come to realize that once the month they were allocated for at crane sites pass, they will be considered sold out and out of production. do these

so these are basically made in enough quantities to fill arcade machines for 1 month and 15 days. they basically got a shelf life. these makes them rarer than retail products. the nature and effort on how to get them increases their value and rarity as well. but then again if the show losses popularity, so does the figure rarity and price and thus why you would see some of these for lower prices.

I really want the Gatchan twins and Baby Turbo. I'll have to make Arale, Senbei, and Midori.

Next month is the release. The set will go for about $40 before all shipping and handling costs.
