This is soooo awesome. I'm now super motivated to get mine done!
How long did it take to get them back? I think I remember seeing you post about this awhile back.

Wow. I've never seen a rating higher than 8.5 before. Did he send them in the outer mailing boxes? It definitely raises the value. I'd never get it done because I can't help but open my figures

I get it makes it more valuable but the figure itself won't sell for much, and if I recall it's pricey to get this done. So no profit? I guess it's all for personal reasons.

And it took a while actually. He sent them in during Comic Con since they were there and they just arrived yesterday. Because he chose the slowest return which is the cheapest.

I'd never get it done because I can't help but open my figures He sent the Vegeta and SS3 Goku sealed inside the outer mailing boxes which is the reason why they received the "Uncirculated" grade if you take a close look

It's for personal reasons and to just maintain the condition of the figures since me and my cousin don't personally open our figures. We like to display them sealed so it makes sense for us to get them graded. But I'm sure you could make a profit if you were to sell a Comic Con exclusive Figuart graded since there aren't any out yet. I'm sure my cousin is the first person to have dragonball figures graded.

The only value I see in doing this is if you were going to hold onto the figure for 20 or 30 or more years and then wow collectors when you go to sell it and impress them that the package is still in great condition. But I don't see why anyone would be more impressed that somebody graded it compared to another one on ebay 30 years from now that looks just as good without the grading. I would assume this costs a lot more than it would cost to buy your own clear plastic box to put the figure in.

I understand wanting to keep the figures in the boxes, but that's a whole new level of collector. I collect because I enjoy dragon ball for the memories it brings, not for the monetary value of the collectables. But to each their own! And they do look pretty cool in those plastic boxes!
