I just had a J-Horror day watching all the Ringu movies and thought as a group of Manga and Anime fans what is your favorite Asian horror film? Mine would have to be Whispering Corridors. It was my introduction to the genre and still my favorite.

Got all those except The Road. Have you seen the extended version of Dumplings? By that list you need to check out One Missed Call

Don't believe I've watched any Asian horror films other than the first Ringu years ago. I'm more into Italian horror. But for anyone who enjoys Asian Horror/Black Comedies/Zombies - youtube has BioZombie you can watch for free.

Can it be asian inspired? Dragonball Evolution Ugh, Evolution. I remember a friend and I rented that monstrosity the day it came out on dvd (neither of us wanted to see it in a theater as neither of us had the audacity to pay a ticket price plus the cost of gas only to be assaulted by that cinematic turd). With pizza and alcohol in high quantities we had high hopes for the movie - now before you grab your pitchforks, torches and nooses, by high hopes I mean we were looking forward to an evening of cheap laughs at the atrocious movie's expense. But the horror we unleashed upon ourselves could not be sated nor lessened by any amount of alcohol. We ended up watching that mess almost entirely in silence other than an occasional sigh of disappointment. We were left embittered, disappointed, embarrassed and even angry. Never before had we felt so cheated and insulted by a movie in all our lives. It was as if the people responsible for the mess were consciously aware of how crappy it was and did it anyway as the ultimate bad joke and slap in the face. You could take someone who'd never heard of Dragon Ball and had no clue what it was (obviously they hadn't either but go with me here) allow them to watch two episodes of Dragon Ball and then give them thirty minutes to come up with a plot outline and they could have done absolutely no worse than what we ended up receiving anyway. The way I understand it, movies are made with the intent of success and profit. I mean, hell, we didn't expect The Lord of the Rings or Titanic but we didn't deserve something that made Space Jam look as epic as Jurassic Park either. My most prominent (and saddest) memory associated with this movie is after we watched it we tried to lure another friend into watching it as well. I remember he shook his head slowly and simply said "I don't have the heart to." And to my knowledge, to this day he has not watched it. Lucky, lucky him. My friend and I do not speak of that miserable night. Officially, it never happened. Wow, I took off on a big rant there. Sorry guys.
