Glad you got those. I was going to bid on those but I missed the closing time. They weren't actually released in the 80s though. AB originally released those some time in the late 90s and it was one of their final sets. AB's stuff and most dbz stuff actually says 89 for whatever reason. Irwin rereleased them in 2001 I believe.

Are the arms articulated on that toilet-head Freiza of yours? That's what I've affectionately called the elongated-head Freiza since I was a kid.
If the arms are indeed articulated, what brand is it?

What the hell are you talking about? They are HG Gashapons produced by Bandai. and no, they are not articulated. with the exception of the HG Plus releases, which are partially articulated.
You have great collection friend, i'm very happy that you joined the site. I'm a little jealous in all those first edition HG that you have. Since you like the colored editions of the Mini Selection figures, I want to to share with you this Kid Goku that I have:

These are the only one's in my collection with any articulation (not including some of my boxed items). I really like the final form Frieza in this set.

The colored mini selection figures have a great look to them, almost like wood. Thanks for sharing!

I thought the arms on the big-head frieza might have been articulated since they appear to be separate pieces from the torso. The Trunks and Vegeta in that pic above look very nice!

Very nice and neat collection! You have done great photos. The thing I appreciate most about the gashapons is that although the figures are small the detail on them is very good and the painting and colors are awesome. Another thing is that you can have most of the characters who appears on the show, which you can't have in other sizes like DX figures.
