The prototype is sitting in a box somewhere at JAKKS, with all the other DragonBall prototype/photomasters. I imagine the box is stored somewhere like this:  I don't know for a fact why they changed the head, but I think it was at the request of FUNimation. |

I woulda loved to see those Oozaru's hit the shelfs, albeit with at better face/jaw sculpt. That Goten is pretty cool as well. Android 8 looks like he would've went with the other larger Jakks DB figures.

It makes me so frustrated to see awesome protos like this that Jakks never released. Instead they put out a lot of re-releases of bad figures. It's such a shame, really. Teen Goten and Android 8 look so good.

Guys I was looking at the back of a box today and I saw that the Nail and Piccolo "Brother vs. Brother" Pack had Nail wearing his blue vest and white neck scrunchie for the prototype. Does anyone know why the hell Jakks just decided not to include those for the released figure?  |

I have no idea why. It is just wrong to have the display pic on the back different to the release.

Idk he would have looked a heck of a lot better if they would have changed him. Bran made an awesome nail even better than the one on the back of the box IMO

Here is the Frieza figure at the Toy Fair 2005 display.  Here is a better shot of the figure and the hover chair.  Some close ups of the Oozaru    Unreleased Teen Goten  Unreleased Android 8. It is the IF Labs sculpt, but with 'Path to Power' colors  seeing this makes me want to cry, that teen Goten looks sooo cool, you know whaat!!! I'm gonna try to customize him  |

I hate looking at these pictures, but I can't help myself. Prototypes of unrealized figures always makes me depressed. Even though the Apes look more like beer-bellied werepigs.

I was going through my Jakks ss4 samples and noticed something unique. Primed+Test shot. Primed being closer to the finished product.  Primed version, 10/10.  Writing on the primed version.  Sample with, some very cool custom work. The hair on the back was cut down to what a store bought one looks like. To my knowledge the artist did the work. Also, the hair on this sample is a softer material than the primed sample. This one is labeled 1/0.  This is the only one I got with a sculpture modification. I will probably add more pictures of these. Some figures I got have writing from the shoes to the hair. Especially a Goku sample who looks like he joined a prison gang. It'd be nice to find someone here who can read Manderin.  |

Do you know anyone selling the or the collector that owns these look to buy for anybody wanting to sale trying to buy as may sample and testshot dragon ball figures as I can thank you
