After Irwin went bankrupt, I remember ebay being flooded with what looked like production left overs, strange figures that weren't released exactly, and strange variations. Many of them looked like figures that were exclusive to vehicle playsets. They were not bootlegs, but the graphic design on that little piece of paper in the blisterpack does look different from the font and such on production figures. I never bought any of these, and didn't ever save pictures of any I don't think. This SS Goku is on ebay though, so I'm sharing the pics. Does anyone own any Collect Them All Saga figures or know the history? Were they sold from China where the figures were produced? Were they sold from Canada where Irwin was located? What's the story here? carnage6, soda, loki and ToadKart do you have any memory of these? This SS Goku looks like the one that came with the capsule 341 vehicle, but he has shiny plastic orange clothing that is a different texture and maybe different color from the production figure. SS Goku was never released in an individual package with gold hair like this, except in this strange Collect Them All Saga. Here's what the production figure looked like.

Ya I'm pretty sure they were done after Irwin went Bankrupt. Probably the Chinese factory just had Irwin's product and packaging left over and slightly changed the insert card and sold them. That's all I can figure out but I might be worng. Never bought any of them. Could have been a last gasp of Irwin's owners to make some money off dead stock but again these are just theories.

I remind something about a loss of money regarding a wrong paintjob on majin vegeta (black hair).. but honestly this seems so unrealistic...

No, there's no way that caused them problems, because people loved that figure! Even if it was inaccurate, it was so cool and sold well! Irwin had other lines of toys. www.icv2.com/articles/news/2096.html Read that.

I still have troubles to understand how can a Toy Company go bankrupt for failing to develop any successful non-licensed toy lines, while licensed products are succesfull.

I think you'd have to research it. I don't want to

Attachment DeletedOld thread my apologies... I have this Gohan that was part of a vehicle series that irwin released. I remember going on my toy hunts and every store would have them collecting dust. I never bought any I believe for that reason. The collect them all series (if you can call it that) included Gold haired versions of young Gohan, teen Gohan and the Goku above. Mine is packed away in one of my big boxes of figures not being displayed. What I remember is asking the seller about them before I purchased. He said they all had different backers from a range of different series released. So yes all the math works, figure sets that didn't sell well and left over backers = CLEAR OUT THIS WAREHOUSE!! Have a great day everybody!! Michelle Check out my collection www.flickr.com/photos/daddyscott/sets
