Right after I posted that, I tried again with another post and discovered that when I press insert after I attach the file, the quality of the image is better. Still though, like you and Branjita said, it's better just to link from a website.

Sounds like you're using a computer to post the attachment. Want a tip? Here's what I do when I am using the attachment button and I'm on a computer.
I add my attachments and make my post. I view my post and right click and open each attachment in a new tab. I copy the url of the first attachment. I edit my post. I click the Image insert button, then paste the url. Then I do the same process for the next image if I attached more than one. Then I post the changes and then the image is as big as possible. I think I did that exact process in Catch of the Day Japanese the other day if you want to see what it looks like.
It's too inconvenient to do from a phone like this. It's possible to do from your phone... but takes too long.

Wow that's a really nice trick. I'm gonna use it from now on.

I reduced the forum pages to 15 posts per page (they were previously 20 posts per page). This will increase the number of pages greatly, BUT this will reduce the amount of scrolling people will have to do. The amount of scrolling when a bunch of pics are posted (mostly by people like me... HA!) has been driving me crazy, so I'm sure this will improve the DBF experience for a lot of people.
