He's leaps and bounds above the old figure. The faces are also spot on with accuracy and the expressions are perfect for recreating many different poses. They finally did my boy Vegeta right ðŸ˜

shuriken I still see a line. I don't own Cell. Is that the original line on the original release's face or something and they moved it because the purple was in the wrong place? I don't remember exactly what he looks like.

Tien looks huge, and this is awesome. But I'm a bit worried about how Piccolo will look next to him

With these two in the cards, the chances for a 2.0 Piccolo has greatly increased. Personally I hope it's a battle damaged version but I'll take a clean one too. The SDCC Piccolo is awesome but not perfect

I can see how they reposed Yamcha, it does look better. On closer inspection I see the forehead issue, I hope this doesn't become another Ultimate Gohan situation.
I totally agree that we need the long hair! And a smirk! The smirk is seriously essential Yamcha. Excluding it would be like making Vegeta without crossed arms... oh wait...
Including Saiyan Saga hair would be a serious amount of plastic, but it would be worth it. Even though their prototype has the King Kai symbol on the front, it would still look good.

How quickly do you think old Vegeta's prices will bottom out? At least, the PCE will probably see a significant drop, I'm guessing. Most of the new figures look great. Xeno Trunks looks AMAZING! I cannot wait for him. Yamcha and Tien look pretty good. I, also, think they need to fix Yamcha's face a little. I hope he gets alternate heads with longer hair. The one thing that kinda bothers me on them is the knees. They look pretty good in a straight legged pose, but I think they are a little more obvious in poses where the knees will be bent greater. I'm worried, specifically, about the bottom seeming really wide at the cut. The new hip/crotch articulation looks a LOT better on characters with pants. It can disguise the cuts as folds in the fabric better. That is one thing that really bothers me about the new Trunks and Vegeta. The hip/crotch articulation is really noticeable and unsightly. What is supposed to be a single smooth, skintight piece just gets the sculpt so cut up and messy compared to the original figure. I wish they could modify the articulation to be more flush. It, also, tends to exaggerate the characters bulge...lol, Trunks looks very well endowed because of it.  |

They just look amazing. Tien's screaming face looks so intense lol. Need an Imperfect Cell to go with that Tien. Ultimate Gohan's itsy bitsy yellow effect blast could go well with Tien, even though it's small. I don't use many of the effect parts. They take up too much space. Need to put some shelves in. I've got Broly and SDCC Broly taking up massive room as it is. |

But I'm a bit worried about how Piccolo will look next to him I think they need to make a Piccolo 2.0 at this point that is actually scaled well with the other figures (a lot taller) so the line doesn't have to suffer by trying to make characters that are truly larger than Goku (like Tien and Yamcha) smaller than the old Piccolo. |

What do you think the likelihood is of that green shirt coming off Tien so he can be bare-chested like he was in 50% of DBZ...? Could they possibly design (or could they have possibly designed) it so it is a one piece shoulder wrap that folds at the top and snaps together at the waist...? I hope... I hope... I hope...   And I feel like this Hero character is using the old Trunks' arms. Isn't he? They don't look like they fit the torso well. And why is there that "coin slot" of a gap in the cape? I don't own Ultimate Gohan... is that simply his head repainted...? Could it be they created this "custom" just to show off Future Trunks 2.0 which might be Bojack Unbound Trunks in disguise? What if this body is really meant to hold much more muscular bare arms and be Trunks? And the reason the collar is vertical is because Bojack Unbound Trunks has long hair and in order for him to turn his head, the collar either has to be super flat or vertical like this...?   Now that I'm at home with a really good monitor, I see that Yamcha's shoes are actually navy blue and not black. I would prefer they be even less black, but this is great to me. However, like others have mentioned, I agree that his facial proportions are not very good and he's a bit puffy, and are likely based on too much of the Android Saga artwork, which was sometimes weird. There were definitely scenes where Yamcha's facial proportions looked like this.   But it would be highly preferable (to me) if we saw faces more like this where his forehead isn't as big as Vegeta's:   And we still need our friend Chaozu.  And he better be small with a head the same size as a normal character and not huge like the Krillin figure!  I'm really excited about the Yamcha and Tien! I do really hope that Yamcha comes with Saiyan Saga hair to put on the faces though... |
