That's unfortunately exactly what people thought when Ultimate Gohan and Vegetto were released. I really have my hopes up this time. Don't leave us hanging Tamashii ... again. Thing is that was probably their plan. It really seemed like they were about to go full on Buu Saga but then one thing happened. Super. They shifted their focus to that and now they're capitalizing on Xenoverse. Looks like they'll be back on track now and the releases will be more varied across all the incarnations of DB I wouldn't have said it was Super so much now, but more so the hype around the Resurrection ‘F’ movie which got a dubbed airing in North America. SSGSS Blue, Golden Frieza and then Beerus and Whis all appeared in the film. Champa and Vados got ditched and TN didn't have a single Super reveal.

Everyone forgive my stupidity but what exactly is a web shop limited?? I never quite understood what that meant, does that mean it can only be purchased online? like no actual comic store has it?? or does it mean its only sold through the tamashii website? I know it usually means it wont get re-release. Its probably been asked before sorry Basically, yes. 1. You can only but it from the web, but any online toystore like BBTS or Nippon Yassan will do the trick. 2. It's limited because of that, so get them while you can.. Re-issues ain't happening. Instead the price goes sky high after a while. Luckily alot of the web exclusives that I personally missed such as Future Trunks, SSJ3 Goku, and Scouter vegeta are being re-done in different ways like color variations and stuff, so this is a second coming for guys like me (I only wish they could do another Krillin because I missed him too and I really want him!!!!) Let's have my fingers crossed that they'll do a 2.0 Piccolo with the anime colors, that would sell... And piss some people off like the 2.0 Vegeta did.

I know it usually means it wont get re-release. Its probably been asked before sorry Just to add to what wiizard said, my understanding of webshop exclusives is it's really about production. With retail releases, Tamashii will manufacture a wholesale stock, like 10,000 units or summit like that. Wholesale stock is available to retailers in blocks (probably min 100 units) and they can continue to receive stock on back order until the entire manufacture quantity is sold out. At this point, Tamashii can manufacture another stock and market this as a re-sale. With webshop exclusives it is closer to a "made to order quantity". Retailers can't order through wholesale, but have to order directly from Premium Bandai hence why only certain retailers (particularly in Japan) will offer the product (NY, BiJ, Nin-Nin, etc.). Premium Bandai set a deadline for all pre-orders (individual/retail) and will only manufacture the quantity ordered. Some retailers order stock (NY do this all the time) to later sell at scalper prices. However once they're gone, they're gone. There's no wholesale stock, no back orders, no re-production.There's pro's and con's. Hardcore collectors get to own something a little rarer/valuable, however on the flip side, the RRP is higher due to the retailers not being able to offer the same discounts they can on wholesale goods.

What Toei are planning for the English market I don't know. At this point it would seem licence negotiations with Funimation have reached a stalemate with Toei even considering releasing their own dub via their Asia division. Of course this never materialized and it's left licencees in the collectible market in a bit of a pickle. I don't blame Tamashii for turning to Xenoverse now, as it's the first new material to hit North America since Resurrection ‘F’. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Mira/Towa before Goku Black.

The Western Market is a very big market for Tamashii Nations' Dragon Ball Character Categories. They won't release any characters that the Western Market have not seen content of yet. I'm hoping CrunchyRoll's streaming of Dragon Ball Super may change that though. Not sure if it will but still being hopeful that the demand for Dragon Ball Super from the fan base is heard loud and clear.

Tamashii is just waiting for Super to be aired in English before releasing DBS merchandise. Not only is the western market big, it's what saved the Tamashii DragonBall line, since no one was buying them initially during the release of Kai in Japan. That's why they went "web exclusive" as opposed to full retail for a while.
It would make sense they release the figures for when the full western audience would see it, since they really (at least at first) became the market for it in the first place.

as someone who never had the chance to buy any of the tamasshi web exclusive this a pretty good opportunity specially with vegetto and ultimate gohan since they use the same mold for the body

Well with Gotenks we're pretty much guaranteed Super Buu. They could release him with his other forms they showed before except with the 2.0 tech. God I love those Buu prototypes, he's my favorite villain of DBZ We thought that when Vegetto was released lol

I never quite came to the conclusion of what Gohan's gi color was. At times it's been shown as blue and others as purple. I like to think it's purple continuing the look from the Cell Saga but the more I google it, it's actually blue. Well with Gotenks we're pretty much guaranteed Super Buu. They could release him with his other forms they showed before except with the 2.0 tech. God I love those Buu prototypes, he's my favorite villain of DBZ We thought that when Vegetto was released lol Like I said earlier they shifted their focus from Buu Saga to BoG/RoF/Super and also the 2.0 stuff started as well. I assume that's why we haven't seen the Buu's and SSJ4 for a while because they're probably undergoing updates to the new tech. I want Buu Saga stuff soooo badly but I'm the end it's a good thing they didn't release them so now we'll get a more quality product

I'm really looking forward to the 2.0 Scouter Vegeta...but, the more I look at that image the more my ocd is also kicking in. He looks too buff. It looks like they just put the new arms and legs on him, and that is bothering me. I know Vegeta is buff, but at the beginning of the series he simply wasn't that jacked. Not like he was as Super Vegeta.
I know it's unrealistic to expect a 100% brand new sculpt for a figure that they can get away with reuse on, but I kinda wish we could get different arms and legs that aren't quite as big. It does look like the larger shoulder pieces are having problems with the shoulder pads, too.

Are there any events coming soon where a Tamashii booth is expected to be present?
