Is this a web exclusive limited production like the first SS3 goku figuart? Wondering if he'll get a price drop if not. No, it's a regular release, and judging by where the other regular releases are now, I'd say a price drop is inevitable. ________________________ Just received this today, here's my pros/cons list for it. Pros - There's a lot I like about the 2.0 Goku mold. Like most 2.0 figures, the sculpt is superb and the figure overall has a great feel to it. I wasn't really pleased with the new leg design that has been used on 2.0 figures (the waists haven't looked as good as they could have). This time, the design is greatly improved. I only wish the thigh swivels (the hidden joints that attach to the waist) had some sculpted detail like the 1.0 thigh joints used to have. That aside, the legs look great and function perfectly. I was worried the sash might be extremely loose like the midsection piece on the Awakening Goku but it isn't at all - in fact, it's difficult to move around (exactly how it should be). I really like the metallic hair. I think a metallic finish for the super saiyan forms helps emphasize a premium feel for these figures. Cons - There's a big flaw I can't ignore (a flaw that some of the other 2.0 figures also have)...restricted arm movement. The problem is poor execution. The butterfly swivels are deep inside the torso and this leaves the arms too close to the body/stuck at a 10-degree angle (also, the arms can only be moved to an 80-degree angle due to the shoulder joint buffers). An improvement might be possible, they would just need to extend the fly swivels so the arms have more room to move around. Honestly, I wish the 2.0 arms had cup sockets (the joints that SS Gohan, Broly, Frieza, and Golden Frieza had). I think those are the best possible option for shoulder joints, and it would be quite easy to modify the 2.0 parts for cup sockets. All that said, I realize I'm talking about updating molds so improvements probably won't happen. / Speaking of the swivels, they have the skin tone which looks pretty bad, but I'm not too worried about it since future figures might have swivels that are colored to match the gi like on the SSG Goku. / The skin tone has decent saturation (i.e., it isn't as pale as it could have been) but it has too much red bias. However, this exact tone should be used for other figures such as Gohan or Krillin (can't say Tien since it's already being produced). / The design of the legs is great but I really wish the waists were larger like they used to be, ESPECIALLY here since the 2.0 mold is shorter than the 1.0 mold. / One final flaw I'm just now seeing - the biceps seem misshapen. Each bicep part seems to lean towards the body. I have no idea why they made that kind of change. Maybe there was a problem with the mold? Guess that about covers it.

well, that just isn't true, especially when factoring in model kit engineering. Disregarding the digital design aspect, making an accurate Stormtrooper would be ten times harder than making an accurate DBZ figure from scratch. well, since you insist...the faces aren't perfect but overall, this is a much better recreation than the standard Figure-Rise kits... which could have been incredible, but aren't. Even without paint, the MG Goku looks great. No amount of paint can improve the lazy sculpts that the standard FR kits have. Edit, all I'm saying is the Figure Rise kits could have/should have been better.

I referenced the Stormtrooper as it's a perfect example of an affordable model kit that looks amazing and isn't hampered by model kit engineering. I can't help but compare it to the DB model kits since they look off from top to bottom (bad sculpts, odd proportions - i.e., they seem more like interpretations). It's odd that I'm able to say even gashapons look better than the model kits.

I was never going to say this but I think the Figure-Rise kits are awful. I can't understate my disappointment with them, partly because they're produced by Bandai, which is (as far as I know) the model kit company. Compare the Dragon Ball kits to any other Bandai kit and the difference in quality is undeniable. For example...take a look at this stunning Stormtrooper kit, also produced by Bandai. It honestly looks like it was ripped directly from a Star Wars film. Gundam model kits also consistently have superb quality. I'm blown away by almost every Gundam model kit I see and the only reason I don't collect the Gundam kits is because I know I would spend way too much money on them. I can't say the same for the DB kits. Compare this to the DoD Android 18 which has an amazing face sculpt. I mostly hate the DB kits because they could be better than the Figuarts figures. Bandai model kits are typically superb recreations. To me, the DB kits are interpretations at best. Coming from Bandai, I expected so much more.

Even if this won't be as significant as the 2014 poll, I figured the poll was worth revisiting. I know that a Bulma release has been discussed a few times in the past, I thought it would be best to include multiple options for her multiple variations.

I just watched the video...head swaps are possible but far from perfect. It seems they didn't go back to the old small peg, they just made an even smaller peg. In the video, the reviewer placed a Kaioken Goku head on the SSG neck and it's pretty loose. The swap comes in at 7:03.

hate to say it but there's always a chance the reviewers just placed the SSGSS head on top of the neck without using the neck peg. It would be seriously great if they went back to the old neck peg, though.

just want to clear this up, the new Frieza is definitely a 2.0. Look at the torso and you'll see it has fly joints that hold the shoulders.
