Yeah you may be out of luck if you're trying to find it today. It might be better to order online, because if the local stores are out it'll be a few weeks before they get more.

I just finished Trevor's intro mission, his section of the map is fing massive! I've been playing non-stop since I got my xbox working, and this game is perhaps the greatest video game I've played on the 360. The insane amount of detail they put into everything is stunning, and this is the first GTA that I actually really love the characters and the way the story is progressing. There's so many added features, and improved controls, plus tons more bitchin' rides and guns. 10/10, definitely a must-have in my opinion.

Yep, I cleared everything off my hard drive the day before it came out just for that haha. But this game is so insanely amazing! It is absolutely beautiful, and it's so massive. Plus they gave Flying Lotus his own radio station

The cheapest Xbox I could find was $120 at GameStop, but since I already ordered a new lens, I can just put it in so I don't have to worry about it messing up again.

Thank Kami! I finally fixed my xbox's laser! GTA is booting up with no problems! It would have cost me $45 to have someone else fix it, but I just adjusted the laser a bit with a tutorial I found on youtube and now every game starts up with no problem Too bad I just ordered a replacement laster.... oh well always good to have a backup.

Damn so I just opened my xbox and cleaned everything, and still the same problem. Called a local repair place and they said once your xbox has trouble reading some games, it will eventually stop reading all games and burn the drive up. So I've gotta get them to replace the lens...

Was Fifa the newest game you had at the time? Every time I get a new game it does that error for a while but usually gets better after it finally reads it for the first time, problem is that GTA V would not read after 2+ hours... I think you're right tho about the lens sometimes cleaning itself. If theres just a little bit of dust on it, it can cause that problem, but when the disc is spinning and all that sometimes it will blow the dust off the lens. I think mine is just really really dirty inside because I've never opened it and given it a full cleaning.

I'll sell you the game for $110 That problem where the game randomly cuts off and says the disc is dirty is exactly what I'm talking about. You're lucky that it only happens occasionally to your Xbox. Any time I try to play Black Ops 2, I have to sit there for at least 15 minutes opening and closing the cd tray until it finally reads it. If your Xbox will play some games, but not others, like mine, it usually means the disc lens is dirty and/or the tray is misaligned due to dirt and grime build up. It also seems to happen more frequently with newer games that have massive game file size. But I would suggest that since you have had that trouble briefly in the past, take a can of air duster and open up your disc tray, spray the air duster in the slot and try to get the dust out. Or else it could get way worse like mine... @aussiedcfan You should get someone over here in the US to buy you a copy at our normal retail price and send it to you!

I've always had the original versions. Started with the original "Premium" system, then when 2 of those broke down on me I bought one of the old "Arcade" systems. After looking into it, it seems that the "Unrecognized Disc" error is very common. It's weird tho, I was trying to load GTA and it kept giving me that error, then I pop Halo 4 in for a sec and it boots up immediately with no problems... I think my xbox does not want me to play GTA.

I can't believe the crap I had to go through last night. My Xbox has trouble reading discs (it will say Unrecognized Disc) and some games take longer than others to fully load, but for some reason I could not get my xbox to read the GTA install disc... Spent 2 hours trying to get it working before I gave up. So now I've gotta get my xbox on the operating table and disassemble it and clean the disc lens. Has anyone else had that problem? I've had it with 3 different xboxs, the other times it eventually fried my disc drive completely

How exactly does the number thing work? You got it and then during midnight you just went to your spot? Also now dbz unbound has it, I might just say screw fifa 14 lol. Maybe when Ashelia gets hers. When I went in this morning to pay off the game, the guy told me to come at 6 to pick up my line ticket. You go, and they look up your account to see you bought the game, then give you a ticket that has a group number on it according to what spot you were just in. Then you go back at midnight, and you have a reserved spot in line. It was really neat and organized IMO compared to the only other Gamestop midnight release I've been to... for Guitar Hero 3 hahaha

I arrived at 11:45ish, doors opened at midnight, and I was outta there by 12:10, so less than 30 minutes. But earlier today when I was there to get my line number it took the same amount of time, so about an hour total dbzunbound You do it right! Post some pics of the goodies inside!
