ssHiep One thumbs up for the SDCC Vegeta (very jelly), and another for the Daewon Song posters.

Ah yeah I can totally understand your situation M5, if I didn't have the original I'd buy the SDCC version as soon as it was up for sale. Plus, at least you guys that already bought him can make everyone else jealous

Damn I feel bad for you guys paying these ridiculous prices, I'd be willing to bet that Bluefin will have him for sale at regular price within the next couple of weeks. It was the same with Piccolo last year, people were paying $70-$100 the first week or two after the con, then Bluefin puts him up for $60.

If SDCC Vegeta is released to the public the same way Piccolo was last year, he'll probably be $50-$60 on Bluefins site and/or ToyArk. I got my SDCC Piccolo from ToyArk last year about 2 weeks after SDCC ended for $63 shipped. Does anyone know if SDCC Piccolo was the same price as Vegeta when actually being sold at the convention?

So here's an update on my situation with the Figuarts lot I purchased. Turns out the guy has been scamming people under seperate accounts for a while now. He is either selling incomplete/broken items as brand new or just not shipping things to people when they purchase from him. I went ahead and made a claim against him and I was just looking for enough money to find the missing SS3 Goku pieces I needed and he wouldn't budge. Ebay finally stepped in and since he had abused ebay policy so many times they sent me a full refund and let me keep all the figures! I wasn't expecting that, lol. Glad to hear the situation ended in your favor, 4 Figuarts and an incomplete SS3 Goku for free is an insanely good outcome! Btw, could you post the name of the eBay seller on the list of Bad eBay sellers topic in the BST section?

Haha yeah those are the prices I would have expected... hopefully I can find a complete one for a good deal one day. Gonstead, you collect the most random figures. I like the madness behind the collection. I agree, which brings up the question, Gonstead when will we see your full collection??

Thanks for all the advice everyone, but I think I made the situation sound way worse than it actually is. I do have friends that enjoy DBZ, but they still think collecting figures is kinda weird. Most of my friends were never into action figures as kids so I don't think they can understand why an adult would collect figures. My best bud, who used to give me the most sh*t about collecting, caught a glimpse of my collection not too long ago and I think he realized I was self conscious about it so he kinda pretended to be interested and didn't say anything negative, so it's not as bad as it used to be. Another reason for hiding it is because I don't think most girls find action figure collecting to be appealing. My female friends haven't ever said anything negative about it, but I have asked for their honest opinion regarding guys collecting toys and they viewed it as a turn off. As for family, my mom has always believed that DBZ is satanic (no joke) so she usually has something to say about it when she sees my figures. The rest of my family views it as me trying to reclaim part of my childhood and most the time are indifferent to it, but I do get that awkward feeling when the subject comes up. Overall, I just feel that keeping it behind closed doors avoids a lot of awkward situations. On the positive side, it keeps my figures in good condition because dust doesn't build up, it avoids smoke damage, my dog can't chew on anything, and there's no chance of an intoxicated friend accidentally bumping into a shelf causing everything to come crashing down which has happened numerous times in the past with other possessions.

I try to keep my toy collection a secret from friends and family. My friends all think it's weird and my family views it as some kind of mid-mid-life crisis haha. My friends used to give me sh*t about it so I put everything in my closet and put a lock on the door to avoid anyone seeing it. Anytime I tell people how much I spend (which really isn't that much) they always act like I've gone crazy. So now I just keep that info to myself, and the only people I show my collection to are you guys.

I just finished the 1st season last night, and I can't wait for the next season. I read that the second season is supposed to come out this month? Anybody know if that's just for the manga or if it includes the anime version? I also read that there's two films scheduled for theatrical release in Japan in November. Btw, does anyone here own this? I'm curious about the quality and size of the set.

Gotta love those nostalgic toys. That's a really good deal imo, I figured it would be much more expensive since it was a decently popular toy back in the day from what I remember. One of these days I've gotta get my hands on one.

Just started watching this show and I'm hooked. I usually don't get into anime besides DBZ and Cowboy Bebop, but AoT is pretty damn good. I agree with Bran that the first few episodes were depressing as f*ck with a lot of characters dying off immediately and the hopeless tone of the show. It gave me this weird depressed feeling that I haven't had since I saw the scene in Pan's Labyrinth where the Pale Man eats the pixies. Something about being helpless then bitten in half or swallowed whole by a large creature freaks me out. Either way, it's been worth suffering through so far.
