What are some figures from Japan that you think are underrated and why?
SCultures Ox King to me is one of the most underrated figures from Japan. He's by far one of the faves that I have in my collection because of the incredible sculpting and paint detail, and actually beats most of my Gokus.

Hscf Frieza form 1 should be in every single person's 5 to 5.5 inch scale collection. He's one of the most beautiful figures I own and one of the very few hscf figures I can say that about. Many hscf are not even close to the quality and excellence of this figure.

I'm definitely not a fan of the HSCF collection, but it's great that you should mention that Freeza because that one always caught my interest. He does seem to be leagues above the rest when it comes to sculpt and paint job.
Not to mention that there's not that many quality First Form Freeza figures.
I wouldn't mind the 100% Freeza from the DX collection, but I hate the paint job on him.

The Real Works 100% figure is very well done. And, just like hscf Frieza form 1, that's not something that can be said about most of the rest of the line. I think he's the only real works figure that actually has any shading painted on him. Another really good Real Works figure is Imperfect Cell, but he's 3.5 to 4 inch scale probably (I have him, but he's lost somewhere in my custom fodder so I can't compare him to anything to determine scale).
HQ DX Dodoria is yet another must have, but I don't think many people would refer to him as underrated. He's not entirely accurate to his design in the manga or anime, but he looks fantastic. The hscf one is more true to his design, but it's more like 4 inch scale, so he doesn't fit into my collection.
