Hi, I want to share this pic of my first custom. It is a super garlic jr, made with the torso of a Hulk, and the head and legs from a bootleg figuarts piccolo. I added some sculpey (I'm not good at modelling) wich needs some sanding, and of course the paint. Plase give me your oppinion. Thx.

That's a great start! The body looks right. Good idea for the legs. Welcome to DBF.

Sculpey is not appropriate for using on figures because it is fragile and will crack several months/years later. But besides that, this is looking really great!

That's true. Didn't bother reading that in his post. Marquillo, consider this run practice and get some apoxie to finish it.

Thank you for the suggestions!! I will try to get the apoxie. Do you think that humbrol/tamiya modeling paint will be ok for this first try? Thank you

Almost any acrylic craft paint will do well. Don't use enamel, because it will remain sticky. You might look for Apoxie Sculpt on Amazon and see how expensive it is on there. Sometimes it is cheaper to buy directly from avesstudio.com especially if you want a specific color. I like using the color pink the most, and am willing to pay a little more to get it. This is what happens to sculpey after a few years: The things like Dodoria's head I made entirely out of Sculpey do ok, but the parts covering plastic do not. I think it has something to do with a gas that plastic gives off? I'm not sure. Sculpey isn't durable enough anyway. Apoxie Sculpt is strong and can survive falling off your shelf. If you want to use Sculpey for adding bulk, and then you cover it with Apoxie Sculpt that might be a good method, but maybe not. In your country, if you can't find Apoxie Sculpt for a reasonable price (between $20 and $30 USD for 1 lbs of it) there are other options. Any epoxy putty specifically made for sculpting can be good.

It's pretty close to the right size! Look at that Beerus bootleg figure! Gonstead That's the Ben Da or Benda figuarts Goku bootleg isn't it? That's another bootleg none of us have managed to get except one of our members who lives in the Philippines. How is the quality of that one?

Yes it is Benda, it cames in a box zimulating the figuarts one, the quality is acceptable, the plastic is solid; because there is also another version here, that cames in a card/blister wich is more like pvc and the body has more painting details, but the headis like more "gummy" so i prefer this one, I think that ones that are on blister are the same ones you can see on ebay that are sold loose in a 6 pack.

That SSG head should work. I think it looks a little childish, but it's good enough.
