Everyone has these and I find it interesting to hear about these because sometimes you hear/see some pretty ridiculous stuff. Here are some of mine: 1. I can't stand it when people pull out their cell phone in the middle of a conversation or take a call as you're talking. I think that it is SO rude! Very disrespectful when people just text or take a call without even excusing themselves. And quite honestly, I only excuse myself if the call is absolutely urgent. Or when I'm having a conversation with someone on the phone and they cut me off and say "Sorry hold on, let me take this call." I just want to reach into the phone and slap them senseless. Its such a dick move in my opinion and its extremely immature. Even in class, I NEVER pull out my phone unless the teacher is done lecturing, and I only do it to check the time. 2. I can't stand it when people are indecisive. It really irks me, whether its at a restaurant or in a relationship. Indecisiveness in a relationship especially because it keeps the other person on the edge of the cliff and affects them more. 3. Ungratefulness or no show of gratitude. Self-explanatory, I don't care if someone doesn't return the favor BUT at least be full-fledged in your "thank you" and not half-hearted and/or take it for granted. 4. I hate it, HATE it when someone is erasing a dry erase board or a chalk board and they leave or "forget" a tiny bit in the corner and move on. I CAN'T STAND IT!! Haha, so annoying. Its like they are doing it purpose because I think to myself "They can't be serious, is this a joke?" I just want to get up and erase it for them when they leave a mark on the board. Or when they write over it...  What irks you? |

Pet peeves... Hmmm... Well, here goes.
1. People purposefully speaking with incorrect grammar. It absolutely disgusts me. I understand slipping up once in a while, but even after being corrected.... Especially when I have to hear it constantly. My dad says, "I seen this," instead of "I saw this." I hate it.
2. Slow walkers. They suck. Especially, if you're stuck behind them in a relatively crowded area.
3. When someone borrows my stuff and doesn't even use it. My cousin borrows books from me and leaves them on her nightstand, never even picks them up. What's the point?
4. This sounds so dumb, but.... The volume on any device not being on a multiple of 5. I can't stand it. It drives me insane.
5. When someone picks something up and doesn't put it back into its proper place. Especially at a store. I can't stand seeing stuff thrown on a random shelf or rack that's like a foot away from the place the item is supposed to be on.
6. And my number one, biggest, most absolute pet peeve, is people touching my stuff. You guys don't understand how much it bothers me. Just thinking about it annoys me. When I'm at school, my friends think it's funny to move around my binder or water bottle when I'm at our table in English. I tell them to stop, but they continue. When I get angry enough, they act like I'm some crazy, horrible friend. The thing that will anger me the most, though.... Someone messing with anything I display in my room. I keep displays a certain way, so seeing something out of place irks me to no end. My older sister's boyfriend went into my room one night when I was not home, and thought he'd be funny by switching up the positions of some of my DBZ and WWE figures. Now, keep in mind that I don't pay half as much attention to the WWE display as DBZ. When I got home, I walked into my room and immediately saw one of the wrestling folding chairs knocked over about 2 inches from where it should be. Then the rage set in. Let's just say, no one has dared to mess with my items again.
Having said that, there's probably more that annoys me, but I can't seem to think of anything else at the moment.

I hate it when people try to correct my grammer in texts. Like come on, it's a text, it's shorthand, I'm not writing a book with MLA grammer citations and trying to win a Pulitzer prize or anything.

lol Dakota, don't go to a comic con because of #2. I was flustered by how slow most people were walking. I can't comfortably even travel at the speed most people were.
One of my pet peeves is people who don't accelerate up to the speed limit in their cars quickly enough. People who do not follow or exceed the culturally acceptable rate at which everyone should accelerate from a stop light. It's usually a prius, fiat, or last night a Nissan Altima or Maxima and it drives me nuts. Maybe they are getting good mileage by doing a 30 second crawl to 40 mph in their 40 mpg eco cars and 30 mpg typical, every day commuter cars, but they are killing the mileage of those of us with muscle cars, trucks, and sports cars. I'm usually lucky if I get 17 mpg and that's if I don't get stuck behind slugs like that and stuck in traffic. The sooner I can get up to at least 30 and in third gear, the sooner I can at least make mpgs in the teens and twenties. It really pisses me off lol, particularly because my car tells me what mpg I am currently getting. If I'm going to get 4 mpg, I'd like to be having some fun accelerating quickly, not sitting behind somebody accelerating 1 mph/second.

Well...
People who do not use turn signals. Littering.
I could have a 8 page rant on this alone, use your imagination. YouTube shoot Em up safe driving lesson. I thought the language would get me in trouble. Search on YouTube at your own risk.
Section 8, the community had a 90% NO on them moving in. The local government does what it wants. These idiots have no car insurance and constantly pull out infront of a 50mph car. Pull out is a understatement, 5 feet away. These are the same people walking a baby in a stroller through blizzards and heat warnings. Did I mention that's a highway they stroll down? Crime rate in my local neighborhood in a 20 year span, about 5 arrest. Now, section 8 housing gets 2-8 cop visits a day. It's only a 4 acre apartment complex. I believe there's been 3 murders in 4 years, 3 riots (I know of), and multiple meth lab bust.
For anyone not from the US, section 8 is tax paid housing the government made for military veterans. I am not saying if you're on section 8 you're a bad person. Some people truely need this program. If you are section 8, you know exactly what I'm saying. Section 8 is now for any illegal immigrant, drug dealer/murderer from Chicago (that's where they are being moved from, to me), and people on unemployment. It doesn't even focus on veterans, what it was made for.
People on section 8 do not get drug tested.
People on section 8 get paid with my tax dollars for housing and drugs.
Section 8.
It needs to be completely dismantled. The entire program does not need to be overhauled. It needs to be stopped and remade for the original purpose.
When you give people food, housing, and money. You make people not work.
Unemployment needs to be completely revamped due to people intentionally ruining the system for those who need it.
Illegal Immigrants.
The government gives ONLY illegal immigrants 100% tax free for life. This is how it works 4 years free taxes for illegal immigrants, they go home after 4 years, and cross the border. It's like a Damn game show, You just won another 4 years without taxes!
The problem is they get health care and the rights we do as citizens. If they need a kidney transplant they get it 100% FREE, that's all paid with taxes. I will loose my healthcare in 3 years. Due to, Obamacare! My taxes I pay in don't go to me anymore, they go to the illegal immigrants sending the money they make back home. FYI, that destroys the economy. There's people with money who have already died due to the new healthcare because, they couldn't use their current healthcare. They died waiting. An illegal immigrant doesn't need to buy heathcare and is the first to get helped.
Government.
They will not take my guns. They need term limits. They will win regardless the outcome. Entire Obama administration+most republicans. I met people who went to school with Obama. There's a reason they moved from Chicago to Texas. Local government is just as bad. 600million in debt now they want to make it a billion. Debt Clock... Is everyone in the white house smoking meth? We constantly give China military secrets. We allow China to keep the laser satellite! Yes, laser they can blow stuff up with. The government does nothing after countless lost secrets to China through, hacking. Pull out of the middle east... They fought for 2,000 years, who cares after that long. Let them blow each other up. Treat them like North Korea. Wall it up and land mine it all the way around.
North Korea
The veterans VA hospitals. Another failure of the government.
The founding fathers where all buisness men. Why not allow a business man to fix it? If a buisness man ran, the media would cut him down like Herman Cain.
You have the government and media running together. This always lead to strife and ultimately, you become North Korea.
Also, I don't know what a pet peeve means. I think I may be in the ballpark.

Those who are perverted. I really like Master Roshi, but he's a fictional character. Don't look, speak, or go anywhere near me. I hate that people can take something so pure, and has to make it dirty. I never found it funny or appealing as a kid, and I still hate it now. For those who faced some traumatic event or something that messed them up sexually, I feel sorry for, but the rest I can't be around. I understand when a child learns about sex for the first time, it can be silly, but for adults, come on! I also hate that everything has to be turned into an innuendo. 2. Preaching tolerance, and refusing to tolerate anyone's views but their own. 3. When parents think it's cute to name their kids after something geeky, or really funky to be different. Poor kids! 4. Peer pressure or anytime someone tries to tear down others' morals. 5. Constant use of curse words. 6. Using religion as a weapon. 7. When people think their level of fandom makes them a superior person, and puts others down. Get your priorities in order! 8. People that hate. I hate them!

Oh boy...let's see.
I absolutely can't stand...
Sudden loud noises/people screaming...talking and being completely ignored/sending messages and getting no replies...armchair politicians...(in direct contrast to the last annoyance) general apathy from people in this country...dogmatic statements and stubborn close minded beliefs...general small talk (a lot of people in my past had a tendency to drift off when I talked about myself, as I grew I lost all interest in trivial nonsense)...waiting for eBay/Amazon packages...petty meaningless conflicts that people insist on participating in...leaving minor typos in comments...waiting in long lines...trends and the people that follow them...uh...I'll stop, I think I've said enough...and if I think of more I'll just edit this.

Seriously though, at least half the drivers on the road suck! I need good public transportation in my life.
