Sonkakarot's Mid-School Madness!

Not having a shelf dedicated to my Irwin/Jakks figures has been bugging me for a while now. So, I decided to make an attempt at putting together a mid-school display.
However, there's always been a few little things that continually lead me to postpone work on the display. The most obvious of my concerns being, the collection is still light-years away from being completed. This is only made worse by the fact I'm still lacking a few choice characters from the mix. For instance, where the HFIL did all my Goku figures disappear to!? I swear I had all of the Irwin releases.
Mostly, I was just worried that my collection would feel somewhat sparse and eclectic.
Another thing. Usually, I prefer not to display anything but mint figures in my collection. Considering most of these little guys are my childhood pals - you can imagine the horrific ordeals they were subjected to, at the hands of a young SonKakarot. Many have suffered significant visible wear and some are even held together with glue! This is in stark contrast with my more recent acquisitions, which are all dead-mint.
Which prompts me to ask this question, how much thought/consideration and care goes into crafting your own displays?
