The mods could always use this as a thread for the figure itself like the other Figuarts, there's an idea!

To blank and whoever else has doubts, this was posted a while back but this is the evidence we have: 1. Alex Bias, the owner of Ageless Geeks (online toy store), has connections to Bluefin/Tamashii and is well known in the community for accurately providing information for products before they get announced. He correctly predicted the repaints of Trunks and Vegeta and posted the following on his Facebook page: "So Geeks I know the Sdcc exclusive and im disappointed looks like Bandai didn't give them an option this year lol. If your looking for the Mexico exclusive don't waste your money. That is all" 2. The DAM (Distribuidora Animexico) representatives at the Mexican event confirmed that the figure being sold at the event (MexiGoku) would be available for purchase at SDCC as the exclusive. Here we have two very official sources outside of Bluefin/Tamashii themselves confirming this. If that's not enough, I don't know what is. It's VERY LIKELY that the SDCC is indeed this figure. To what extent, we don't know, but everything points to it. I'm not one for speculating and confirming something until there's good evidence that it may be true, but to me, this is confirmation enough that this figure is the exclusive. I remember Alex saying he would be able to get a hold of the Mexican Goku figure, but would have to order about 10,000 of them if he were to get them. He said he would maybe get it, but it being his biggest investment I'm sure he didn't go for it cuz he probably found out the same Goku figure would be the SDCC Exclusive.

The store has a small clientele. I can't imagine Bluefin leaking info to a small business owner. Still strongly believe goku won't make an appearance @ sdcc...

They didn't leak it to him, he has personal connections and he's been right many times before. No point in arguing, just wait for the announcement so we can stop beating this dead horse.

There was s no point in arguing until we have solidified fact, regardless of the amount of evidence we have supporting the Goku release. I'm kind of amazed this debate has stayed alive as long as it has.

Question....if this figure makes its way onto sites like Toyzinthebox, BBTS, etc, will they jack up the price based off of Ebay sales?

If the MexiGoku is the SDCC exclusive won't such sites jack up the price based on what they've seen (if theyve seen it) like on ebay? I swear they better not!

I swear they better not! doubt it, collectors are paying the price just for the Mexican box..since only 500 produced will be probably baseline worth around 800 dollars next couple years.. the release SDCC will go for less

Question....if this figure makes its way onto sites like Toyzinthebox, BBTS, etc, will they jack up the price based off of Ebay sales? Generally amazon, Toyz, and BBTS follow the retail price. That being said, I doubt they'll even get the MexiGoku in stock to sell at retail. I've personally only seen SDCC go through third party sellers.

*Called this shìt on day-one*
Anyone that still doubts this fact, is essentially a moron. There's no point trying to deny it now, given all this damning evidence to the contrary. The SDCC was always going to be Mexiku. I for one am glad, and all those that spent 6-700 dollars for one on eBay should feel equally oblivious and foolish - and poor! That is all...

The mods could always use this as a thread for the figure itself like the other Figuarts, there's an idea! seems best to leave all the discussion, change the first post to include official images, and update the title to "SDCC/Galeria Namek/Go Kanji Goku". I've personally only seen SDCC go through third party sellers. amazon used to be a great source for the SDCC exclusives...now, hardly the case. It should be interesting to see if TITB gets the exclusive, they may provide the best option. not sure if they will since they're fairly new. I imagine BBTS will go the gouging route.

This specific Goku with this box (aka. MexiGoku) will NOT be on any of the retailers. There's only 500 of these, period and the scalpers have em. The SDCC on the other hand will go to retailers like the past ones have. From what I've seen, BBTS tends to jack their prices up first. The other ones follow suit but not to the degree BBTS does. eBay is usually the cheapest option when the exclusive first comes out although, I tend to wait until Bluefin puts their stock up on their Bluefin Premium site. They go for around $60-65 on the Bluefin site which is a reasonable premium for those that don't get to go to the event. That's the cheapest option usually but takes longer.

I should clarify that I meant the SDCC release of Mexican Goku. If it goes for $65 then I might have to get two. That's a solid price.
