I prefer to watch the movies over the series most of the time. Are the movies for Fullmetal Alchemist stand alone stories or do you have to watch the series to understand what is going on?

Both the movies basically wrap up the stories from the shows. Shambala finishes FMA's story, and the other finishes Brotherhood's story. You need to watch both shows to understand either of them. If you ever can give FMA a watch it's not one of those crazy long animes it's only about 52 episodes.

Might see if I can pick up the first season to give it ago next time I go shopping. I'll skip One Piece though as I think I have said before I find it too goofy

Labor Day gave me a chance to finish up Highschool of the Dead...I was very pleased with it, the material was quite powerful.

Is that a definite recommendation there timeone?
H.O.T.D. is about a zombie holocaust right. I like a good zombie film and love anime so I may have to give this one a look. Local DVD store has the full collection for $56.99.

Yeah, it's worth a shot. There's a lot of (somewhat pointless) ecchi stuff throughout but it was really good from beginning to end. It's feels very unfinished though.

Well the ecchi stuff explains why on the cover of the Australian set in the classifications it says Sexual References. Though if you have seen my anime movie collection you know I don't mind that

I usually don't even care about ecchi but in this series...ugh...no thanks. Corpses and eroticism are two things that should NEVER mix in any context.

That's kinda like the Urotsukidoji series. There is some pretty freaky stuff in there and I've only seen the cut version.
