Hello,
Long time lurker first time poster, new collector! I suppose I've got a little story as a means of introduction. I used to be into DBZ 15 years back when it was on Toonami (like most people!) and I think the only figures I ever had were from Burger King. I don't know where they are right now unfortunately. For whatever reason ..college or lack of cable I never got to see anything past the Freeza saga.
Fast forward to several months ago, I needed to get a surgery and it sapped my strength. I was basically bedridden for 2 weeks. My friend in passing conversation mentioned DBZ abridged. I'd heard of it but never seen it. I was completely bored out of my mind and decided to watch it. Well, I marathoned it all until I was current and it actually made me feel so much better. Even parody versions, seeing Goku and Vegeta and Gohan train and power up and fight gave me visual vitality. Then, I realized, now with faster internet and variety of resources I could finally watch the rest of the show.. and in Japanese!! Finally got to see android saga, cell saga, buu saga and now I'm working on the fusion saga (still not done yet!!). My obsession rekindled, and just in time to see Revival of F in the theaters!
So I'm a very new collector. I love all the Saiyans but especially Vegeta and Raditz (they were my favs from 2000). Vegeta because his character arc and personal growth is so damn fascinating and Raditz because his design is so rocker 80s. SO I mostly focused on collecting them, but looking to expand to other Saiyans of course. I have SH Figuarts Scouter Vegeta and Goku -- they're really fun for posing. I've preordered Premium color SSJ Vegeta and Trunks. I also have WCF Vegeta Bulma and Goku from Revival of F movie, WCF Memorial Parade Vegeta. But recently... got a huge haul since my birthday is coming up. They are glorious. I'll just let picture do the talking.
And this is just the beginning... I've already gained a lot of valuable information about figures from your posts! Very helpful when I'm trying to decide what line to buy. I'm not a mint collector, I rather open the boxes and have them on display and I don't mind if they're not perfect (makes it easier when I can get cheaper out of box figures).
Lastly, my screen name is same as the female Saiyan character I play on DBZ: Xenoverse, a pun on Bok Choy! So.. long introduction, hope you enjoyed my story, and hello!
