Hi everyone. This is my first S.H. Figuarts action figure, and the first action figure/toy that I've bought in many years. It is only natural since Future Trunks is my #1 favorite Dragon Ball character (although I certainly have a few other favorites). This is also my 1st post on this website. I wanted to ask if anyone has a strong amount of orange "shading" towards the front middle of SSJ Trunks hair? I thought the figure would have all blonde hair based on photos and videos, and I can't stand the decent amount of orange there is on the front middle of my figure. Sometime soon I might upload pictures of my Saiyan Armor Trunks to this topic, but I noticed the orange shading is not as noticeable through pictures as it is in person with my figure. Which made me wonder even more if there are other figures with this amount of orange towards the front middle since I've only seen pictures and videos, but I've not seen them in person. I have strongly considered selling this unopened copy that arrived to me recently because it irks me. Yes, it has the Toei sticker on, and I bought it from the Amazon LLC (so it doesn't seem like a knockoff to me, but it briefly crossed my mind). This likely wouldn't bother some people, but I guess we all have different preferences. I'm sure some people would love the figure even with a decent amount of orange towards the front, but I don't want a Mac 'N Cheese Super Saiyan (as I sometimes call similar looking figures; like premium color Trunks and Vegeta for examples). I have also considered that the final product differed in color than what was advertised, and the box of the figure itself even says as much. I looked at the photos on the box, and he has complete blonde hair without any orange at all. Keep in mind that this is my first SH Figuarts, so I don't have any other Super Saiyans to compare hair color with. Thus I don't know how frequent this hair shading of orange is. I might sound slightly picky, but with spending $40, I don't feel bad for my pickiness with a color difference I didn't expect. To answer your bolded question, every figure is identical... Hmm. Yes, I think they should be, and normally I would agree. However, I have some lingering doubts for that being true with this Trunks just based on other figures I've seen online (Youtube or online photos). I looked around on Ebay for user submitted photos, and in decent light, some of them have dark orange at the front middle of his hair, and others have much lighter shading there. Here is an excellent example of what my figure's orange shading looks like (note, it is some other person's and not mine): www.ebay.com/itm/Dragon-Ball-Super-Saiyan-Trunks-Saiyan-Armor-S-H-Figuarts-Action-Figure-Bandai-/371675826334?hash=item56899b089e:g:wR8AAOSwwo1XffxKIf you zoom in on the photo, that strong orange is quite visible. I saw a couple of other users with that strong of shading, but other users had a lighter shading with their figures like this one: www.ebay.com/itm/S-H-Figuarts-Super-Saiyan-Trunks-DragonBall-Z-Action-Figure-Bandai-In-Stock-USA-/391506473239?hash=item5b279ab117:g:uboAAOSwGXtXhrEw And all YouTube video up-loaders seem to have lighter shading. The following video is a perfect example of a lighter shade on the front middle of the hair: Does anyone else have a Trunks figure that either has this strong of shading as shown in the first eBay link, or is it a much lighter shading for you? I wish I could actually see this figure physically in a store for comparison, but I don't know of any local place that sells SH Figuarts for Dragonball. *Edit*. I would show the images here and not give the url links, but the eBay pages allow you to zoom in up close. That makes it much easier to see the shading.

All they need are the two long haired heads *cough cough* Super Trunks *cough cough* and they'll be good to go on that one, dannybosa.

Well, I got my replacement recently from Amazon. I can't tell much of a difference with the orange shading at all from the old one, but at least I won't be bothered by a couple of small paint chips on my old figure's hair. However, the new replacement has its box slightly damaged towards the bottom. Smh, just my luck. I didn't noticed it for a short while because it isn't that noticeable from the front, but in bright light the very slight dent is noticeable. The very bottom also has slight damage (couple of scratches). I'm not heartbroken since it is just slight damage, but it is mildly annoying.
I would understand if they changed the hair from the promotional pictures to have orange shading in the final product, but I don't understand why some people's Trunks has very little orange shading (or sometimes it appears no shading at all) even with clear light directly on the figure. Oh well I guess. I'll have to live with the orange shading since multiple figures have it apparently.

so.....is this figure worth the buy? Absolutely. He's the best representation of Trunks to date in terms of likeness, articulation, and scale. Can't see any reason to not get him

Unless you just don't like Trunks, I can't see any reason not to get him. He's a perfectly acceptable release in my opinion.

i want the long hair no ponytail head for the figure so bad. if they dont do it, i hope someone makes one for it like they did for the super trunks head. This looks very well done. Makes me wonder if the Super Saiyan faces are compatitle with the normal head and vice versa. This looks great too...

shuriken can you check to see if the SS faces are compatible with the normal head and vice versa? I would love that.

I think they could always include the third head with a Semi-Perfect Cell release. They could also include it if they ever decide to do the Ascended Super Saiyan versions of either Trunks or Vegeta. I'd love to see those but they would probably be quite pricey given the amount of plastic they would require.

thekrillmaster the peg holes fit but the eyebrows don't because of the color. Also tried using the faces of the PC one but those are a tiny bit smaller. prodigy1367 man, I could only dream of an Ascended SS version!

Okay, so I failed thanks to household expenses. I believe that, in theory, one should be able to paint the normal face into Super Saiyan to give us the straight-on angry face. The same would apply to the Super Saiyan faces to give the normal head more faces. Simple, right? Wrong. You would actually need, at most, three Trunks figures. One for the normal-to-Super conversion, one for the Super-to-normal conversion, and one to compare the colors to, if necessary. For now, it's just a theory, like my SSGSS Goku theory I'm thinking of. I'm too scared to do it myself because I've never had very high grades in art classes throughout school. Edit: Um... Branjita? This one might be in the wrong thread, but I'm not sure. Please help!
