Great post  Do you know the size of the figures you shared (it looks to me that these figures are smaller than the standard HG figures)? they remind me of the Dragon Ball Full Color Battle set also released by Bandai in late 90s like the one down below.  This sets have not been posted here for some reazon, and I imagine it is because their quality is not the same as the Gashapons we have now. I recently found out about this website from bandai: gashapon.jp/dragonball/. It lists all the gashapon dragonball sets that have been released seen 2013. Unfortunately it doesn't show any earlier sets  |

If I did, it was years ago that I saw it... i found out by that website by simply browsing the web searching for gashapon stuffs haha  . It turns out that the website is listed on the tiny sheet of paper that comes with the dragon ball gashapon egg. After finding out about that, i checked the older dragon ball gashapon series and it turns out the older series were listed on a different website (bandai.co.jp/gashapon ) which is unfortunately no longer functional. |

I love collecting bandai gashapon series :-p. However, I can't really see the logic behind bandai premium items' price tag. They are always above $50 at the release time in Japan market, thus when getting to other countries, it's often around $100 which is quite expensive for most people  . Also, in terms of quality I don't think it's any higher than the items released in the Gashapon machines (beside the packaging which is of course nicer). |

trunkssword if the set that included SS2 Caulifla and SS2 Kale is the type of set you're talking about costing too much... I 100% agree. I would have bought those if they were not insanely priced on ebay.

I would have bought those if they were not insanely priced on ebay. Probably, but i'm not quite sure which set you are talking about. All the HG set that are released under the brand "Premium Bandai" are not released to the Gashapon machines in japan and can only buy in full set shipped in a fancy package (the package is a nice thing ). For example the new Bardock corp set (released earlier this year) is one of them  Or the up and coming set that contains vegeta, trunks, bulma with kid trunks, mecha frieza that dbgasha collector post right above P.s: not my picture, I only found it on one of the online retail site, this bardock corp set cost around $100. While the quality seems to be great, it's not really superior to normal HG set buying from the gashapon machines. |

trunkssword This one a lady posted it in this website, but I found it by accident while googling rare Gashapons. I also wonder what other pieces are out there that we don't know. Like the Dragon Ball Online ones. I didn't know until years later.
