I've been going to Toy R Us and I love that I'm seeing DBZ toys again in stores.

Has anyone tried putting a dragon stars figure head on S.H. figuarts body or vis-versa?
I like the Vegeta’s head sculpt and since I don’t want to buy another figuarts vegeta, I was hoping I could use the non SS head from dragon stars.

I gotta be honest, these figures look better as Super Saiyan Albino than the regular releases do! toynewsi.com/news.php?itemid=30128&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebookI still can't stand looking at Vegeta, looking like he's on Bardock's body or something with no neck, but these look pretty cool in these colors! If they were 5 inch scale like all of my other figures, I'd definitely buy them and just consider them alternate universe figures of them as albinos. Can't lie. I love the way these two look, other than their proportions. I'd buy these if they weren't $20+ and a scale I don't collect. I guess I could buy them and have Figuarts Yamcha beat them up

I saw 2 complete sets of series 2 at Walgreens last week. You might check some of your local Walgreens stores. The Frieza is definitely the best looking figure in the current line. But he's like 7 inch scale IMO.

When you see a red/black SS white version of Goku and Vegeta before someone like Zarbon, Super Buu, or even some guys from Super.....UGH

I got lucky, I went to my local TRU last week and was looking for other figures when I saw the Frieza. Had no idea what this line was. I decided to buy it because how could I not. Now I have 5/6, only missing normal Goku with the two BAF pieces. On my hunts I’ve only seen 1 Frieza, 2 Beerus, 4 SA Vegeta, 4 SS Goku, 1 normal Vegeta, and 0 normal Goku. For anyone looking, id definitely say check out a GameStop with a collectibles display.
I like Beerus on my Figuarts shelf but Frieza’s bulbus dome ruins him on my shelf. That head is gigantic.

So I just got my first dragon stars figure (Freeza) and... Yeah, it's not bad. It's waaaay out of scale for figuarts collectors mind, but that's the whole reason I bought him so...
That's said... Credit where it's due, this line would be great for smaller/more destructive kids. I was *trying* to cut of Freeza's head and it still took me half an hour to get it off. I've had less trouble cracking Marvel Legends figures. The plastic they used was no joke.

If they made them an inch smaller, they'd have a collectors market.....but no. Instead, they have fill-a-hole market.

I do disagree with that. Like it or not, these figures (as well as most mass market figures) aren't going to be scaled to the old DBZ lines, or even to figuarts... They're scaled to Marvel Legends, to the new Power Rangers line, to Star Wars Black. Kids want all their new toys to be compatible, even if doing so doesn't make as much sense.
And toy companies know that, which is why we typically see high quality figures nowadays in either 3.75" or 6-7" scale. Remember, this isn't figuarts, which targets collectors first. This line is squarely focused on kids getting into Super.
