Has anyone ever tried turning a Jakks SS4 Vegeta torso into a SS4 Goku to match the scale better with the rest of the line since the Jakks GT figs scale jumped? I guess I'm asking can you take the larger Jakks DBZ Goku waist and combine it with a GT SS4 Vegeta torso I realize their would be some more work involved like modifying a base form goku head with more hair and ther changes... but I think it could work. On a similar note how does the Giochi Perozzi "don't know sorry" SS4 Goku scale with jakks DBZ figures?

You'd be better off tracking down the Giochi SS4 Goku. I can't find any pics of it next to Irwin figures but if I remember correctly, it fits in much better than the Jakks SS4 Goku. Problem is, I'm seeing some on eBay and they're all over $60 (which might be the amount you'd end up paying to get the right fodder for the SS4 Gok custom you mentioned, so...maybe easy to justify?)

kirkymonster1983 you're in luck, Adrenaline is currently selling his Giochi Preziosi SS4 Goku and SS4 Vegeta on ebay. He might cut you a slightly better deal to avoid ebay's commission on the sale if he could sell to you outside of ebay.

I considered asking him but I want him to make the most money off his stuff and not have me low ball him for $20 or $30 less than it's worth lol. I don't really like having figures that are worth more than $40 out of the box because I'm worried I will accidentally break them. I have some Marvel Legends that I want to sell for just that reason too. So hopefully one day I can find a scuffed up one for cheap or one that is missing a small part I can repair then I can have it in my collection guilt free and even get to customize it to fit in with my SS4 Vegeta. I do appreciate the heads up though.
If anyone has any beater figures or cool parts I am interested in buying since I just lost out on a large lot on eBay.

Has anyone had any luck making a custom Trunks in the Broly movie outfit with the tank top and no jacket long haired SS Trunks? In the Irwin Jakks scale.
Also I was wondering if what anyone thought of making some of the obscure Korean and Taiwanese DragonBall live action movie villains but in the animated style?

Also I was wondering if what anyone thought of making some of the obscure Korean and Taiwanese DragonBall live action movie villains but in the animated style? I was in the process of making one around five years ago. Never finished it though. It had very basic articulation but was easy to make. I also had another idea in mind that would have utilized the UFS Trunks bootleg...it would have been a combination of real and fake UFS parts and an Irwin Trunks head. don't think the long hair head would have fit, though.

Both of those look like great ideas. I was considering the UFS Trunks for the legs too since I've sen a lot of people make some really cool stuff using those figures.

Those look cool, timone.
I have made a bunch of Trunks from that time period by just swapping various Irwin Trunks pieces and adding a little sculpt where necessary. I need to take new pics. -Bojack Unbound SSTrunks w/long hair and sleeveless jacket -Cell Saga Armored Trunks w/long hair & pony tail -Jacketless Normal Trunks w/short hair -Armored Trunks w/short hair -Armored SSTrunks w/short hair Then of course, normal Future Trunks and his SS version with short hair were made by Irwin, as well as the jacketless short haired SS one, made in Irwin's SZF series.

I really like the striking Z fighters Trunks but not the limited articulation because of the action gimmick.

I have an Irwin Raditz figure in my collection that to keep it short needs to be customized. Should I do Super Saiyan Raditz and just paint his hair yellow? Or Should I make Super Saiyan 4 Raditz and paint his skin pinkish red?
I already have a touched up Irwin Raditz as well as a rebuilt Jakks Raditz that will just retouch the existing figures. For this project I want to make Raditz in a different form, also my son broke it and I had to super glue the head back on so I want to distinguish it somehow by customizing it. That's the long version of the story.

Go with a SS version. Simple enough.

I'm not sure if this is the best place for this but was just wondering if anyone has any experience with (or has even just seen any) custom Tamashii Effect repaints? I finally got my second Goku Black and figured I don't really need the second pink energy blade as I'll be keeping one figure in base-form so I thought about repainting it to use for something else. Obviously being translucent plastic, any repaint won't have the same look but I'm curious if anyone's done something like that before and how it turned out? All I've done so far are simple hair/eye repaints, nothing with effect parts like this.

Hmm, I don't think I've seen anyone repaint any Tamashii Effects. There's this guy named Stanley Loskot who provides me tons of pics for the DBF Facebook page though, and he orders bootleg Tamashii energy effect pieces in colors Tamashii doesn't provide. www.facebook.com/pg/dbf.official/photos/?ref=page_internal
