There’s 2 rules when collecting:
A figure is only worth the amount you’re willing to pay for it, and
If you can’t buy it twice, then you can’t afford it

I would definitely recommend buying one off ebay. The guy I sold mine to got it for a genuine steal!

Whilst it is quite a deal cheaper than what you might expect to pay for a complete figure with the original packaging, in my opinion it's still too expensive. For the most part, the intrinsic value of these event exclusive figures is closely tied to the overall completeness and condition of the packaging. Realistically speaking, it's still quite a lot to drop on a single figure. If it were me. I'd wait and save until I was able to purchase a boxed figure. In the off chance one day you fall out of love with the figure or need out due to a financial situation, it doesn't hurt to have the added security of re-salability. If you buy incompletes, it is likely won't get a return on your investment or worse, not be able to sell it at all.

By all means, don't let me dissuade you from making a purchase that makes perfect sense to you. You alone know best what you can afford and if you are certain you won't ever let it part from your collection, I'd say go for it.
