Product planning

From the very beginning of the project, there was an opinion that the fans would be happy if we included the grinning expression that Cellmax showed.





Prototype production



After final confirmation by the copyright owner and an internal meeting, the proposed product plan is decided to be commercialized, and the production of a full-fledged product prototype begins.





In the prototype production of "SON GOHAN Beast" this time, as a point that is different from the products so far, we were particular about making the upper body part of the uniform part soft.

By using soft parts, we thought that it would be possible to reproduce everything from movie-like battle scenes to bare poses in a cool way while maintaining the range of motion.

Regarding the range of motion, we were particular about recreating the scene where she shoots the magic bullet gun, and by making cuts along the wrinkles on the side of the uniform, we achieved a natural appearance and a wide range of motion.

Colored prototype



When the prototype is completed, we create a colored prototype that is based on the image of the molding color and coloring of the actual product.





The point I was particular about with "SON GOHAN Beast" this time is differentiating it from "Ultimate Gohan SUPER HERO". In terms of modeling, I reproduced the torn uniform in the play, but I also wanted to differentiate in terms of coloring, so I thoroughly examined the scenes in the play.

In the movie, SON GOHAN (Beast) had a strong impression of being brighter than Ultimate Gohan due to the reflection of the aura, so we created a colored prototype to reproduce that point.





By arranging it side by side with "Ultimate Gohan SUPER HERO", you can feel the difference in color.


These various particulars are packed into each product, not only in this "S.H.Figuarts SON GOHAN Beast" but also in other products.
