Android 18 (25th World Tournament/Buu Saga)
Date: January 2014 Creation Time: 20+ Hours Difficulty: 6/10 Head/Torso/Right Arm/Hands: Bandai Real Works Android 18 w/changes Left Arm: Apoxie/bits from Real Works 18 w/straightening Legs: 5 in Anime Girl Figurine (can't remember the anime) Modifications: LOTS of them. The only change to the head was that I painted her earring red, repainted the pupils, and had to fix her right eyelashes. The torso required the shaving off of the Real Works 18's vest and then apoxie to sculpt the shirt and breasts. I think I did a heck of a job on them! Her neck is completely made out of 100% apoxie. The right arm is as it was, just with a 1/6 inch of lengthening to accommodate the additional height I gave her. Her left arm was a nightmare. I didn't realize the restricted pose the Real Works 18 had would bother me, so I straightened it out with some cutting and lots of apoxie. This was tough to sculpt with the bending of the elbow, where the shoulder met the arm, and the lines I had to carve in afterwards. The legs from the anime girl figure were perfect width to just have them be 18's pants. Still, I had to carve out the end of the pants to show her ankles/legs and then add approximately 1/3 of an inch of height at the waist, then sculpt the pant features. Finally, her shoes were already the exact sculpt of 18's, which was a bonus. They just have a little extra length, but that's fine with me. Lastly, everything required sanding except for the face/head and shoes. I like the way it turned out overall. She looks very pretty with that head on. Good choice IMO. Definitely my new favorite 18 figure.

Awesome work. Makes the Irwin figure look like crap

Looks really good. Female DBZ characters are some of the hardest (for their size) customs because of lack of pre-existing parts, so this is a really good effort and took a lot of effort. A Gohan or Krillin would take half as much effort.

Funny you mention that. I was thinking about it today on how she took me over 20 hrs and a 6/10 difficulty. I really did go all out too, fixing that arm. She also fills a big hole in my collection lol since she's a prominent character in that particular saga. I think I made her back in 2004 and sold it, but it was not very good at all.

Fantastic work. Worlds better than the Irwin figure. Great job with the arm and integrating the head.

Great stuff Adam, you're work just keeps getting and better with the more stuff you have to fix/sculpt. There's something off about her.... No butt/curve? Not sure, tried to find a pic but it was just weird fan art.

That's easy to explain. I'm not a butt-guy. Hence, her D cups.

Wow she turned out great Adam I'm always happy when u do characters we love but in outfits we hardly ever see figures of them in. Also u need to pop a real works head on the Irwin one now it looks about a thousand times better than the Irwin one and really gives the figure that anime acurate appearance
